Job purpose and context
Manage all aspects of the shift, delivering a high standard service that meets the needs of individual customers.
Deliver a quality of service which meets Nursing and Midwifery council (NMC) and Care Quality Commission (CQC) essential standards, improving the quality of customer’s lives and supporting happy living for the years ahead.

Key accountabilities and decision making
Qualified Nurse.
Shift management.
Medication.
Care reviews.
Delivery of rotas.
Performance of the care team.
Compliance with Anchor policies, CQC essential standards and other legislation directly affecting the location and its customers.
Identify and report any incidences of poor practice or abuse in line with the safeguarding policy.
Escalate concerns / issues as appropriate.

Knowledge
NMC code of conduct.
Understanding of CQC essential standards and their impact in care management and practice.
Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care.
People management.
Health and safety legislation.
Mental capacity act.
Deprivation of liberty.
Safeguarding of vulnerable adults.
Data protection and confidentiality in a care setting.
Qualifications and mandatory training
RN qualified.

Experience
Previous people management experience.
Experience of working in a customer focused environment.
Experience of delivering hands on care.
Experience of providing nursing care to older people and an understanding of their needs.
