Dispute resolution Manager – Holds mediation and administers/reviews cases where parent or professionals dispute EHCP information and request tribunal to consider
The main purpose of the Statutory Assessment team manager is to ensure that Haringey Borough
Council deliver all aspects of its send service within the statutory timelines as set out within the Children and Families Act (2014). The role will be responsible for the line management of the services Education Health and Care plan Team Leaders setting clear performance expectations
using formal supervision, annual appraisals, and quality assurance activities.
The role will work closely with the Performance and Finance Manager developing a cohesive performance and quality framework to ensure compliance with all aspects of the boroughs
statutory duties reporting back to the Head of SEND and utilising performance reports to form a key element of performance management and training across the service.
The role will be responsible for managing the staffing budget across the team and will be responsible for reporting pressure on the budget and developing strategies to mitigate when required.
The EHCP is a statutory document that must be written in a way that complies with local and national and local policies and approaches to SEND, in particular the 2014 Code of Practice. The
EHCP service must identify appropriate outcomes and resourcing that is then devolved to settings in order to support children and young people with SEND between the ages of 0-25 years.
The purpose of the educational health and care plan should achieve the best outcomes for children with SEND and maximise their attainment in preparation for adult hood in the areas of:
Knowledge, Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Professional qualification related to working with children or legal E
qualification at degree or higher education level
Additional qualifications related to children or law e.g. Understanding of
child development

Knowledge of the code of practice as it affects performance targets
and funding for children to meet their SEND needs.
Knowledge of the SEND reforms 2014 •

Well- developed negotiation skills and conflict resolution • Experience of managing a staff team including performance,
