Main Responsibilities:
Undertake cleansing and associated works to the quality, quantity and standards required.
Key Tasks:
⦁ Cleansing of litter and waste bins
⦁ Clearance of fly-tipping and discarded rubbish
⦁ Clearance of dead animals from streets and public areas.
⦁ Clearance of clinical waste.
⦁ Cleansing of Council owned surfaces and multi-storey car parks
⦁ Utilising hand tools, plant and machinery
⦁ Such other duties as may be required by the Head of Environmental Care or his/her representative.
Special Features and/or Equipment:
⦁ Must be willing to undertake Manual Handling, AIDS/HIV and Bomb Awareness training plus other practical skills as appropriate. This includes training in Grounds Maintenance tasks in order to facilitate multi-skilling and flexibility.
