We are looking for a L3 Social Worker to work within the Domestic Abuse Team supporting families affected by Domestic Abuse. The majority of the work is Child In Need with some assessment work and we work with all members of the family including the perpetrator and wider family network to help create safety. 

Degree in Social Work (minimum Upper Second, if classified) or equivalent. Must be HPCP registered.

Knowledge and understanding of child development, relevant social policy and key legislation, with strategic reference to safeguarding

Excellent spoken and written English, and computer literacy adequate to case recording and production of fit-for-purpose reports within strict deadlines

Communication skills in direct work with children, and proven ability to work in partnership with parents/carers, ensuring children’s needs are paramount.

Familiarity with diversity/equality principles in general, and specific experience of working in a culturally/ethnically diverse locality

Familiarity with Attachment theories in relation to risk assessment and management

Successful completion of Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE)
