Working in our busy HR team, the HR Advisor will be responsible for providing quality HR advice and guidance to our managers on a range of subjects, such as employment relations casework, organisational change, performance management, terms and conditions of employment, and the application of HR policies and procedures.

The HR Adviser post also contributes to the following:
⦁ the delivery of the Workforce and OD strategy supporting projects where required.
⦁ the development of the HR team, through sharing expertise, and best practice and participating in team development.
⦁ the regular review and revision of HR policies.

Skills and qualifications:

Graduate Member CIPD/Level 5 CIPD or equivalent relevant experience.
Coaching/Training qualification CIPD Level 7.

Job Description:

⦁ Advising Management and Employees on a variety of employment issues including, but not limited to, performance management, absence management and support, disciplinary issues, capability and other employee issues.
⦁ Develop the skills and knowledge of managers to manage the high performance of their teams.
⦁ To lead projects and activities associated with the Workforce and OD strategy.
⦁ Providing advice on Employment Law, National and Local Conditions of Service and the Council’s Human Resources policies.
