To support the delivery of a new learning management system, which will contribute to developing the Council’s Workforce Strategy.
Coordinate activities and communicate with a range of stakeholders
Deliver, oversee and support the transfer to new learning management system- working closely with Project SRO
a) Supporting community managers to preserve material from legacy system
b) Informing staff of steps to take to maintain existing individual learner records
c) Uploading content onto new learning management system (My Learning)
d) Developing and coordinating a series of briefings, events and surgeries to demonstrate the new LMS and get users started e) Respond to staff queries f)
Work closely with the learning & development team to devise practical solutions and logistics to support the Council’s Learning Management System

Knowledge, Qualifications, Skills and Experience
1.Understanding of on-line learning and development and an interest in how to exploit technology to meet learning and development needs.

  1. Good planning skills, including a demonstrable ability to review a programme of work giving due attention to interdependencies and conflicting demands.
  2. Experience of setting up and coordinating events to inform and promote a new way of working
  3. Experience of answering staff questions and directing to sources of information
  4. Knowledge and use of using basic management reporting tools and practical application.
  5. Possess a positive and upbeat attitude and able to motivate others and provide encouraging direction.
  6. Good communication skills with an ability to engage and communicate to staff at all levels in writing, on phone and in person.
  7. Ability to work on own initiative with minimum day-to-day supervision and confident to put own views forward.
  8. Experience of using a learning Management System, Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint and Word to an intermediate level
  9. Able to write for the web and post items to the intranet, working knowledge of Yammer
  10. Takes personal responsibility for ensuring their knowledge, skills and on-going continuing professional development is kept up to date.
