There are two Information Governance Officer positions available.
We’re looking for two skilled, committed people to join our friendly and welcoming team here at Haringey Council.

The Information Governance Officer will provide a proactive, risk-based approach to Information Governance across the Council. You’ll be supporting the DPO with a variety of administrative tasks including managing the DP inbox, responding to enquiries from the customers and staff, coordinating information rights requests, investigating DP complaints and assisting the DPO in incidents involving data breaches.
You will be working with all our services and partners ensuring data is appropriately processed throughout the Council services.
Abilities/Experiences:
⦁ Knowledge and understanding of Data Protection Act 018, GDPR and information management, and of related legal framework
⦁ Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
⦁ Ability to challenge staff at all levels in a constructive, non-confrontational manner.
⦁ Ability to produce performance data and analyse it for service improvement purposes.
⦁ Knowledge of and commitment to the Council’s equal opportunities policies

⦁ Ability to deal with confidential and sensitive matters
⦁ Ability to write reports and present information in a clear and logical manner
⦁ Ability to produce training materials and develop effective training programmes

⦁ Sensitivity to the requirements of service managers.
