Occupational Therapist (BR11)

End Time : 17:00
Pay rate up to £32 per hour.

Experienced Occupational Therapist / MHRA required for an urgent start.

MAIN PURPOSE:

1. To promote and maintain independence for vulnerable and disabled service users.
2. To assess the functional needs of service users and their carers in line with relevant legislation
   and departmental policy.
3. Together with the service user, to plan and implement a range of therapeutic interventions.
4. To review and provide continued assessment and intervention as necessary.

KNOWLEDGE

A wide range of medical conditions and how they impact on functional ability.

A working knowledge of equipment and adaptations which may be used to compensate for physical limitations.

A working knowledge of legislation and professional good practice guidance.

EXPERIENCE

1. In assessing service users functional abilities and providing interventions to meet identified
   needs.
2. Experience of working with people with physical disabilities.
3. Experience of report writing.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Occupational Therapy Diploma /Degree.
2. State registration with the Health Care Professions Council (HCPC)

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

1. Car Driver
2. A satisfactory enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check is required.
