We are looking for someone who is a qualified social worker and has the following experience:
⦁ Managerial experience
⦁ Chairing Child Protection conference
⦁ Carrying out the role of IRO (Independent Reviewing officer)
⦁ Quality Assurance oversight

Full compliance checks required – DBS, SWE, Full employment history, References….etc

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
⦁ You will hold a degree or equivalent professional qualification with appropriate professional registration and where required an additional specialist professional qualification, and or equivalent experience.
⦁ You will have substantial post qualification experience including at a management/supervisory level in a similar service area.
⦁ Where relevant experience of policy development in a health/social care area and work in a multi professional setting will be required.
⦁ You will demonstrate specialist up to date knowledge of the service area and relevant legislation, regulations and codes of practice including equalities and research and trends in social care policy.
⦁ You will have project management skills, addressing barriers to initiation and the development of specialist services.
⦁ You will have effective relationship building skills to deal with a variety of contacts.
⦁ You will have budget management and monitoring skills.
⦁ You will have a good level of general IT skills and the ability to use, or be trained in the use of, appropriate specialist in-house software packages

Role Purpose:
To lead, and manage a team or specific service area, planning and, organising activity in order to deliver personalised care services, or be a key member of a small specialist team or an individual specialist.

Key Responsibilities:
⦁ Will normally manage, supervise and motivate a team of professional staff and identify and address their training needs. This will ensure that leadership is visible, and you will maintain a highly competent, creative and participative culture.
⦁ Provide specialist advice and guidance and develop and implement policies to ensure an effective service and interpret legislation, regulations and codes of practice ensuring they are implemented and applied consistently. Where relevant this may be the main function of this role.
⦁ Within the relevant service area ensure that cases are managed within accordance with the Safeguarding procedures for vulnerable people.
⦁ Contribute to service and longer-term planning. This will ensure that services are well-organised and effective and new initiatives and systems are developed and implemented.
⦁ Manage and monitor quality and performance to meet service requirements ensuring that key performance measures are met, and work is delivered on schedule.
⦁ Work in partnership to provide specialist advice, promote and co-ordinate initiatives and where relevant to develop and/or provide joint services.
