Haringey Early Help Youth Service is seeking an interim Senior Youth Practitioner within the prevention team which provides targeted support to vulnerable young people and their families. The purpose of the prevention team is to ensure the service is better able to, and better focussed on, dealing with emerging risk and need.

About the Role
As a Senior Youth Practitioner, you will have direct line management responsibility for a small team of Youth Practitioners providing allocated assessment and intervention to young people and their families. You will be responsible for the allocation of young people and families, undertaking quality assurance tasks including Early Help assessments/outcome-based support plans to ensure that needs are identified and effectively addressed at the earliest opportunity as well as providing robust case supervision and management oversight.
In addition to this, Senior Youth Practitioners also lead on the planning/delivery/evaluation of targeted group and outreach work for young people to promote the personal, educational, creative and social development of young people, helping them reach their full potential.
You will be reporting directly to an Early Help team manager who leads both the prevention and contextual safeguarding targeted youth support teams.
About You
We are looking for an individual with excellent and extensive practice skills and experience providing allocated support to young people and their families. In addition to this you will have experience of directly line managing front line practitioners as well as providing case supervision and management oversight for young people and families receiving allocated assessment and intervention.
Most importantly we are looking for an individual who has an unwavering passion for working with young people and families, with the vision and drive to further improve outcomes for young people and their families and the skills to be part of a team that inspires and supports stakeholders.

About Placement
This agency placement is intended to be for a 3 month period whilst the recruitment, selection and onboarding process takes place for permanent recruitment.
