The Youth Justice Service is part of AfC’s Family and Adolescent Directorate and located within the Specialist Adolescent Services. The Youth Justice Service (YJS) has a statutory role to play by diverting children away from the youth justice system; helping prevent offending and re-offending; reducing  the use of custody; contributing to multi-agency public protection and safeguarding, and adopting  Signs of Safety, trauma-informed, identity development and whole family approaches to youth justice.  

Within the YJS we have the following vision: ‘We take a child first, offender second approach and always  seek to work in partnership with children and families to build resilience and sustain positive change
’. 

The post holder will be responsible for managing a caseload supporting children, young people and families with a range of needs and risks related primarily to offending behaviour and will provide support to children, young people and their families within the designated geographical area of eitherRichmond or Kingston.The  the sucessful candiate needs to  have had expoerince holding bith ocd and court cases and worked in a Youth Justice service
