Duties and Responsibilities
Job Specific Requirements
1) To be involved in the preparation of appropriate level assessments of children and their families, in line with the Department of Health “Assessment Framework”, under the guidance and supervision of the Team Manager.
2) To carry a protected caseload under the supervision of the Team Manager. This will cover a range of possible duties from supervising contact of children, parenting advice to families, support to adolescents etc.
3) To attend Team Meetings and appropriate training in line with the development of a positive and high quality service to the public of Cardiff.
4) To attend supervision sessions and receive direction from the Team Manager on all aspects of work.
5) To demonstrate an ability to work in a way that promotes anti-discriminatory practice.
6) To provide appropriate written assessments, reports and other administrative work, with the support and guidance of the Team Manager, using the appropriate information technology systems in the team.
7) To work with other professionals and agencies to assist in the preparation of assessments.
8) To cover for colleagues in carrying out their duties.
9) To undertake such other duties and responsibilities as may reasonably be required by the Chief Children’s Services Officer from time to time.

- Although you will be provided with a base, you will be required to work from various locations in accordance with the needs of the role.
