Shropshire Council’s Enable supported employment service has a vacancy for a Disability Employment Officer to support people with disabilities into employment. This post is for approximately 6 months.

The successful applicant will provide support to clients, assess and review referrals to the service and advise on future employment and career options, liaise with employers and referring organisations, help with job searching and post employment support. The post will also work closely with social care providers to ensure an integrated route to employment.

You will need to be a good communicator with good inter-personal skills focussed on achieving positive outcomes. This is an exciting opportunity to demonstrate develop and enhance your skills in a rewarding and challenging environment.

You must possess a good level of education. You must have experience of supported employment and be able to travel to a wide variety of locations.
