The purpose of this post is to provide a holistic assessment of families identified through Enfield’s Change and Challenge Programme (known nationally as Troubled Families). Case workers will support families to identify and tackle problematic behaviours, securing a pathway for improvement, to turn their lives around.
The post holder will work in partnership to identify, broker and secure appropriate services to meet identified need, as well as providing support to nominated lead’s where these have been identified in other services areas and organisations.
The Change and Challenge Programme, forms part of Enfield’s Early Help Response.
Qualification(s)*
- A recognised professional qualification in education, housing, social care or a degree level qualification or the proven ability and experience to clearly demonstrate the skills and knowledge
Other Special Requirements*
- A DBS enhanced disclosure is required.

Essential:
- Experience of working effectively in co-operation and partnership with a range of communities, partner agencies, private sector bodies, public agencies, voluntary bodies and statutory agencies appropriate to the service area.
- Ability to complete family assessments and draw up and review contracts and intervention strategies.
- Proven ability to work with young people, adults and families who have multiple and complex needs
- Ability to work assertively to achieve sustainable and positive change.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to keep accurate records, organise, plan and coordinate work.
- Proficient use of IT systems e.g. Outlook, MS Office and electronic case management systems.
- Proven ability in using negotiation and problem solving in a multi-disciplinary setting
