MASH CONTACT OFFICER

Summary of Responsibilities and Personal Duties:
• To support the MASH by attending team meetings, MASH meetings and taking minutes as required.
• To screen all referrals to confirm whether parental consent has been obtained and, if not, notify the referrer that the referral will not be accepted without consent or consult with the duty Advanced Practitioner (AP) or Team Manager (TM) for confirmation of whether a contact should be created.
• To create accurate records for children and their families ensuring basic details including names, addresses, contact number, gender, ethnicity, religion, source of referral, parental consent to referral, are recorded.
• To be able to identify calls of a child protection/child in need nature and re-direct those calls to the duty social worker. This may involve alerting the Duty AP or Team Manager promptly when referrals requiring an urgent response are received.
• To maintain the duty phones and efficiently triage or signpost callers to the correct individuals, Team or Service.
• To provide a professional, sensitive and helpful response to young people, family members, professionals and partner agencies over the telephone.
• To answer queries, assessing the urgency of each query, giving detailed information, re-directing service users and professionals as appropriate and referring more complex and urgent issues to the Advanced Practitioner or Duty Manager.
• To support the MASH Team and partners in the provision of a high quality response to service users and professionals as the first point of contact.
• To identify when referrals and notifications into the MASH may not be appropriate and liaise with the duty AP (consistency) or Team Manager.

What does a Customer Wellbeing Call Agent do?
As a Customer Wellbeing Call Agent, you will help support vulnerable people to live independently, by providing a range of different services. You will monitor assistive technology solutions, which includes critical equipment such as falls detectors or smoke and door sensors. You will also need to provide a range of wellbeing checks; either face to face(full driving licence required) or over the phone including medication prompts, emotional support and reassurance, contacting next of kin and emergency services. In addition, you be required to help arrange maintenance repairs, provide a mental health helpline, monitor CCTV, support colleagues with safeguarding concerns. You will also be part of delivering a mental health helpline which takes around 6,000 calls per month.

Property acquisitions person – they should be able to negotiate good prices, manage diaries for the valuers and contractors and progress sales from sourcing and offer, right through to completion and turnkey. It will require travelling beyond the Lewisham borough for the completions and dealing with numerous staff departments and contractors. The current position is held by someone who is excellent at the role, but is currently long-term sick. Therefore, the role is 3 months to start with. Depending on when the current postholder recovers and how well the new person does, may result in a contract extension, because we have over 300 homes to purchase over 3 years, and due to the success of my first programme, more Council departments are asking us to source properties for them.

Integrated Commissioning Programme Officer
PURPOSE OF JOB:
To support a programme of joint commissioning in line with the Commissioning for Lincolnshire approach.

Previous post qualification experience of working as a social worker, in particular work with adult service users.
Experience of working with service users who have complex needs that require frequent interventions to support their changing needs.
Significant experience working in the area of adult safeguarding and managing significant risk
Experience working with service users who are “difficult to reach” who have been socially excluded.
Experience working with service users and their families where there is an extensive breadth/depth of need and economic deprivation.
Experience of chairing meetings and handling interpersonal conflict
Experience of working with service users and advocates where the service user does not have mental capacity.
