Salary: £400.00
To prepare plans and schedules to achieve the decant of River Park House and 40 Cumberland Road; and any enabling moves within/between other buildings • To engage with service area directors and managers to organise and manage the moves and decants • To oversee the preparation of CAD drawings • To advise on office design and management considerations as requested
Main Responsibilities
- Oversee the implementation of the accommodation strategy
- Take direction from and provide input to the Council’s relevant property governance
- To carry out investigations and surveys as required to inform project scope and works specifications.
- To commission works and oversee and monitor their delivery to time, cost and quality.
Knowledge, Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Experience
⦁ Substantial experience of successfully delivering office move projects or similar.
⦁ Experience of working effectively across a range of stakeholders to provide customer focused services and deliver objectives.
⦁ Experience of commissioning and managing consultants and construction contractors, ensuring that works are delivered effectively.
⦁ Experience of working within the education sector or with schools, and an understanding the specific issues relating to school premises.
⦁ Demonstrate experience of managing budgets, spend and savings through effective budgetary management/planning and adherence to budget governance principles.
⦁ Experience of developing briefs, service specifications and scoping services in conjunction with stakeholders.
Qualifications
⦁ Educated to degree level in a project management related field (or three years relevant experience).
⦁ Holds a relevant professional body qualification or accreditation (for example RICS, MCIOB).
⦁ A relevant health and Safety qualification e.g. NEBOSH, IOSH.
⦁ Project Management qualification
Knowledge/Skills
⦁ Knowledge of facilities management/ property management with strong technical understanding and experience.
⦁ Good IT skills including CAD software
⦁ Ability to use property/construction expertise to assist in service planning and achieving outcomes for customers and service users.
⦁ Ability to work positively with stakeholders at all levels including, head teachers, service users, partners and businesses to deliver complex services, policies and projects, demonstrating sound judgement.
⦁ An in depth understanding of Health and Safety policy and legislation in relation to building management and construction matters.
⦁ Excellent problem solving and negotiation skills.
⦁ Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical and/or complex information to a range of audiences.
High level of self-management and organisational skills and ability to manage a complex and demanding workload with multiple priorities.
