This is a Hybrid post and the candidate would need to be able to attend the office on a min of 2 days per week up to 5.
• Provide leadership of the Business Support Team. Successfully managing both task and line management responsibilities to ensure an optimum service is delivered to the Children and Young People’s Service.
• Drive continuous performance improvement using clear communications, objectives, and performance management to ensure achievement of targets.
• Provide high quality, consistent, efficient and effective support services within agreed timescales, proactively looking to raise standards and improve consistency across the team.
• Lead and/or support projects and key initiatives within the Service Area and/or Business Support Team.
• Be the nominated ‘subject matter expert’ lead for at least two appropriate corporate functions such as HR, Finance, IT, Complaints etc.
• Support effective resource allocation so that Business Support staff are allocated to ‘best fit’ tasks wherever possible.
• Contribute to the development of the Business Support Team ‘service offer’, helping to professionalise and future-proof administrative and support services by leading on multiple task-finish working groups.
• Can lead and deliver in a fast paced, complex project management and matrix management environment.
Experience:
⦁ Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office software suite and other IT applications such as CCM (Children’s Case Management System).
⦁ Experience of working in a project management environment.
⦁ Experience of managing in a matrix management environment.
⦁ Excellent management experience of at least two of the following functions: Finance, HR, IT, Data Analysis, Quality Assurance, Complaints, Project Management and Commissioning.
⦁ Experience of leading teams that work to tight deadlines in a fast paced, results-focused environment without compromising accuracy.
⦁ Experience of managing quality standards and resource allocations to ensure outputs are of the required standard and to required timescales.
⦁ Desirable to have subject matter expertise and knowledge of areas within the Service Area such as LAC, CP, LADO, and good knowledge of other Service Areas within the Directorate.
