Locum Senior Practitioner Safeguarding and Care Planning East Team

About the Role and the Team

The Safeguarding & Care Planning Service (East) work with children & families following transfer from the Referral & Assessment Service, which occurs if a child/young person is made subject to a Child in Need or Child Protection Plan. Children in Need qualify if they meet through assessment Tier 2.5-3 on the Bromley Safeguarding Continuum of Need and Intervention. The service have a specialist Court Team but at times East and West practitioners will also hold care proceeding cases and work with children & families where the PLO framework has been initiated . 

All decisions to initiate care proceedings or PLO are made through a weekly Legal Gateway meeting chaired by a Safeguarding Head of Service.
