To clean all streets in the Borough

Main Purpose of the Job/Key Objectives
To drive and be responsible for the appropriate vehicle required for the job
To carry out routine daily maintenance of the vehicle and replace consumable items as required for the type of vehicle driven.
To carry out mechanical sweeping to the required cleanliness standard
To undertake, either individually or as a member of a team, street sweeping to the public highway.
Duties to include all activities associated with street cleaning, ensuring a clean and safe environment to the required cleanliness standard.

Experience
Able to work in a team or individually with minimal supervision
Capable of carrying out heavy labouring work
Knowledge of Manual Handling and Health & Safety
Good understanding of all aspects of Street Cleaning
Experience of working to maintenance schedules and working on the public highway
Knowledge of Street Cleaning machinery and its uses

Qualifications

Appropriate 3.5 t or 7.5 t licence as required

Working conditions/circumstances
Willing and able to work outside of core hours
Ability to work individually or as part of a team, to the required standard with minimum supervision.
