Pay rate – Max £340.00 per day (umbrella).
5 days per week.
Start date – Immediate Start.
Location – Full time remote working.
DBS – Basic required

 
Job details –
Must have Local Authority experience
Extensive knowledge of code of practice
Complex cases in North Kent, very challenging area – currently 3,000 cases

Purpose of the Job:
To oversee a team responsible for discharging the Local Authority’s statutory functions in
relation to the statutory assessment process and for carrying out the day to day duties
associated with arranging provision for children and young people in a defined geographic
area.
To ensure a high-quality service is delivered to children and young people and their
families/carers though the Statutory Assessment (SA) process and in relation to all
processes in relation to children and young people who have an EHC plan. This includes
the ongoing monitoring of high-quality provision for those children and young people with
Education, Health and Care (EHC) plans.

EXPERIENCE
Practical experience in a relevant field to include working with parents and schools in challenging situations

Experience of managing conflicting priorities

Significant management experience including performance management
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Ability to establish effective working relationships with professionals, children, young people and their parents/carers
Effective communication skills including diplomacy and sensitivity to the needs of others without the use of jargon
Ability to support children, young people and families to implement the EHC plan
Able to solve problems in a constructive and solution focussed manner
Resilient
Effective networking skills
Able to use all IT equipment and software to the level required of the role
Evidence of being able to work successfully under pressure and priorities tasks to manage workload effectively
Evidence of being able to successfully manage a team to deliver service
Ability to analyse and interpret information from a wide range of sources including professional reports and to convey information in a range of appropriate formats fit for intended audience
Able to challenge staff (and self) effectively to improve own, individual and team performance
Knowledge of the importance of early intervention and support
Takes responsibility for problem solving and decision-making providing support and challenge, as necessary.
