We require an experienced Registered Manager to manage a 45 bed residential home in Corringham on a temporary basis for approx 4 months.
Job Purpose:
To manage the smooth running of Residential Care for older people in the best interests of the residents, in relation to operational practice, health and safety and personnel issues.
To ensure that staff work in accordance with the Statement of Purpose and Function of the home:
1) Care Act 2014
2) Health & Social Care Act 2008
3) CQC Fundamental Standards
4) Care Standards Act 2000
5) Relevant Council policies
6) Registered Homes Act 1984
7) Community Care Act 1990 and other relevant legislation.

Special knowledge – essential
Experience of developing effective Risk
Assessments processes to mitigate risk for service users
Ability to monitor and evaluate service delivery Understanding the issues relating to provision in terms of interim and permanent service users Effective management & negation skills.
Ability to organise & facilitate staff / team meetings and presentations
Experience – essential
Ability to effectively managing Safeguarding issues Experience of completing notifications
Ability to organise and prioritise workload.
Experience of managing /supervising a large team.
Other requirements – essential
Qualification: Registered Manager’s Award
Ability to format formal letters, reports & procedures.
Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
Educated to a high standard in English & Maths.

⦁ Health and Social Care qualification – NVQ 3
Experience in Social Work assessment and / or Occupational Therapy
