SENIOR DESIGN ENGINEER (PARKING)

Main Purpose
To fulfil the role of technical lead as part of a team responsible for prioritising and managing the ongoing programme of change to the borough’s waiting and loading restrictions. This includes the expansion of controlled parking zones (CPZs), modifications to existing CPZs, disabled persons’ parking bays and new yellow line restrictions.
To work with the Parking Schemes Programme Manager to ensure that each project meets the specified time, cost, and quality standards.

Principal Accountabilities
Leadership

1. To be an effective technical design lead.
2. To demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of performance indicators and quality targets. To work with the Programme Manager to take action to improve performance where required.
3. To work with the Programme Manager to translate the Lambeth Transport Strategy and catalogue of service requests into a prioritised programme of proposed changes to borough’s waiting and loading restrictions
4. Provide evidential feedback to inform future policy and strategy development.
