Requirements for Senior Digital and Technology System Consultant
3 month period for 2 days a week (25 days)
Reporting to the Director of Digital, Customer & Commercial Services
Starting ASAP

Prior to the contract starting, the director and consultant will agree the precise outcomes to be delivered and timeframes.

High level outcomes required:
• Review governance and processes used within IT Security to ensure that the function is protecting the Borough from attack whilst supporting the development of new solutions and services. Document proposed improvements including potential costs and benefits.
• Assess how well the current IT architecture for Children’s Services and Finance enables business processes, engage with senior leaders within the directorates to understand the business outcomes sought, and recommend potential solutions including indicatives costs, benefits and timescales for transformation.
• Advise the Director of Digital, Customer & Commercial Services on the new organisation structures reporting to Head of Digital and Customer Services and Head of Technology Systems and on profesional development opportunities for the team
• Identify opportunities to reduce non-people costs with savings being used to enhance funds available for future investments in new solutions and services
