An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Officer to join a fast pace and varied working environment.
We are based in Hackney but are largely working from home at present. We are looking for a Project Officer who has an understanding of business management, political sensitivity and customer service along with the ability to deliver progressive work.
Working on multiple projects across Children & Families Service we are looking for someone who can play a key part of a fast changing environment, and has a broad range of skills from minute taking and general project coordination to supporting the development of service strategies and stakeholder communication.
Key responsibilities:
To manage discreet projects and tasks ensuring deadlines are met, and outcomes achieved.
Undertake qualitative and quantitative research and analysis to inform projects
To provide high quality, responsive administrative support, for the service. To support in the planning and coordination of activities and professional the programme.
Arrange, attend and document meetings and events as required and support managers to manage the team (e.g. chasing outstanding work).
Design and maintain an effective system for the management of project information; establish and manage change control processes; and ensure that relevant information is available to all stakeholders. Update project plans; business cases; risk and issues logs; highlight reports; contact logs; etc. as required. Process any invoices associated with the projects and update relevant financial monitoring documents.
To undertake research and special projects and prepare briefings as requested
To prioritise and be able to work on your own initiative and progress plans within agreed timescales and deadlines.
Key Requirements:
A good standard of education eg Degree (or equivalent)
Good literacy and numeracy.
A basic knowledge of services for children and young people.
Experience of liaising with professionals at all levels, a confident communicator with internal and external stakeholders.
A detailed working knowledge of Google Drive, Microsoft Word, and Excel;
PowerPoint and Internet, and the ability to understand and quickly develop a working familiarity with a range of software packages and computer hardware.
Ideally:
Prince2/MSP or other project qualification
Experience of working with people from a range of backgrounds and at different levels of seniority
