The Specialist Resettlement Coordinator will provide specialist casework to single homeless applicants with complex housing and support needs, notably street homelessness single people
The ideal candidate will have experience of providing specialist housing options and homelessness casework to single homeless applicants with complex housing and support needs. You must also have significant experience of the Homelessness Reduction Act and multi-agency Pathway models.
You should also have knowledge of welfare and housing policy and law as well as safeguarding vulnerable adults. An enhanced DBS check will be required.

Experience:

  1. Significant experience of providing specialist homelessness casework to single homeless applicants with more complex needs, such as applicants leaving institutions including prisons and hospitals
  2. Significant experience of working collaboratively to improve outcomes for single homeless applicants with more complex needs, such as applicants leaving institutions
    Skills:
  3. Ability and experience to consistently deliver high levels of customer service to single homeless applicants with more complex needs
  4. Ability and experience of ensuring all aspects of casework is carried out in accordance with legislation, strategies policies and initiatives set out at the national, regional and local level
  5. Ability and experience of consistently achieving performance objectives in the provision of specialist homelessness casework
  6. Ability to contribute to the identification, dissemination and embedding of existing and emerging best practice within the team, and across the wider Housing Advisory Service
  7. Ability to effectively communicate with a range of stakeholders, including applicants, members, partners, and so on
    Knowledge:
  8. Significant knowledge of welfare, homelessness and housing policy, strategies, legislation, and case law, and its implementation within a statutory homelessness service

Qualifications

  1. High level of education or equivalent demonstratable experience
  2. Evidence of Continuous Professional Development
