Telecare is a community alarm service which uses technology and equipment to be able to improve the independence and safety of otherwise vulnerable people. These devices are linked to a 24hr-a day 365 days a year monitoring centre based alongside the Telecare team at Contact one Vale.
Duties include to answer and to respond efficiently to all incoming Telecare, emergency, monitoring, out of hours and Lone Worker calls, and to deal with them all promptly and in accordance with the operating procedures. To answer and respond efficiently to all incoming Telecare emergency and monitoring alarm calls. Every call is different you will discover a real variety of customer situations. An excellent understanding of the needs and ability to empathise with the elderly, disabled and vulnerable people who use our alarm system will be a pre-requisite of the job.
Working as a team player within a busy environment is a must for this role as you will share your workload with other members of the team.
You will be working 12 hours rotating shift pattern consisting of days and nights including weekends and bank holidays with a weekly average of 37 hours. Flexibility required to support needs of the rota.
Salary can be up to £27,000 a year.

The Workforce Development Service is responsible for ensuring that members of the children’s workforce have the right training, qualifications and on-going professional development to provide the high quality services. The Exams Administrative Assistant is responsible for a number of the administrative support functions for the apprenticeship programme. The role will work with the Business Manager and the Lead Trainer Assessor to administer the whole apprenticeship lifecycle. This will include working with colleagues in the team to coordinate our processes for the registration, invigilation and certification of all learner exams as well as manage contracting arrangements with employers and to liaise with the Trainer Assessors to ensure the learner is inducted on to their programme of learning. The postholder will be the single point of contact for apprenticeship related questions. This role is pivotal in making sure the apprenticeship support offer is managed in an effective and efficient manner.
In addition the post holder will have excellent verbal skills and will be able to support projects and initiate activities in relation to L&D, enabling managers, employees and partners to receive a competent and timely service.

About the Role:
3-month assignment with potential to extend.
The role is purely for minute taking and database entry only (Liquid Logic.)
Candidates must have a minimum typing speed of 60 wpm. The candidate should ideally have experience of minute-taking in any setting.
The type of minutes they will be taking are sensitive and confidential, so adhering to GDPR is crucial. They will minute Core Group meetings (children subject to a child protection plan) and Chid-In-Need meetings (children subject to child-in-need plan.) Once the minutes are completed, they are to be entered onto the child’s record and recorded on an Excel spreadsheet, therefore Excel experience and some database navigation experience would be preferable but training will be given.
Meetings can last up to 2 hours, and the expectation is that the candidate completes between 2-3 meetings per day. The turnaround is 2 working days, therefore fast and accurate typing speed is essential.
All meetings are virtual (Skype or Teams.) The candidate would work in the office for a short while whilst training is given, then they will be working from home.
The candidate will need to have good communication skills and be able to ask for help as teamwork is key. Strong prioritisation of workload is needed.
SKILLS & ABILITIES

Job Description – Be a first point of contact for enquiries regarding DoLS by telephone or email. Deal quickly and efficiently with referrals and general enquiries. Communicate effectively with those people who access or need the service, mainly providers, but also on occasion, colleagues, customers, carers, friends and family members. Carry out related administration tasks associated with customer enquiries e.g. type documents, such as standard letters, input/update spreadsheets, despatch post or e-mail information to customers following an enquiry, updating and maintaining Mosaic.
Ensure correspondence is uploaded correctly on the Mosaic system and queries are passed to the appropriate colleagues where needed; and keep accurate records of customer enquiries handling all confidential data is stored and distributed in accordance with statutory duties. Send requests and enter services received in the ‘One Way to Buy’ recording system, under supervision of and authorisation by the budget manager. Deal with queries relating to payments by involving the dedicated payment team.
Report any allegation or suspicions of abuse or potential abuse of a vulnerable person to a registered practitioner or manager. As a Protection Support Officer your role will be vital in the maintenance, gathering, analysing and inputting of Protection Fire Safety and risk information, updating records and producing reports to provide management information as well as providing administrative support to our team.
The Protection Supporting Officer will be responsible for providing an administrative support service to the Protection team. You will be responsible for collating all enforcement paperwork, service performance management figures and statistics.
You will assist in the gathering and inputting of risk information data from our operational crews together with the analysis and reporting of this data for management. Your role will be vital in the maintenance of the Protection Fire Safety information system (Farynor), updating records and producing reports to provide management information. You will be responsible for supporting all staff within the function in relation to administrative procedures and their use of computer data and Fire Safety systems for example SharePoint and Farynor. You will be supporting both Group and Station managers by note taking at meetings, and you will be required to transcribe notes into statements or reports such as transcribing taped Police and Crime Evidence (PACE) interviews for legal action folders.
