Job Purpose:
The postholder will predominantly provide comprehensive support to ensure the successful delivery of portfolio and group teaching sessions across the MSQC (Medical Skills and Quality Care) module in Phase 1 MBBS /MPAS (Years 1 + 2 of the programme). The name of the position is called ‘Benefits & Housing Needs Assistant’ and the role sits within the Complaints Team. The Complaints Team is a very busy business area within the Benefits & Housing Needs Service that deals with complaints, members enquiries, mayor enquiries, MP enquiries and Freedom of Information requests.

The successful candidate will be a lone worker, based from home and will be responsible for triaging new / existing complaints. PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

The Health Protection Practitioner role is designed to promote the work of the council’s Public Health team within the local community.
In respect of Covid-19, they are responsible for:
Assisting the community with rapid testing services ensuring adherence to health and safety protocol
Supporting community collection pop-up points and outreach activity, related testing awareness activity, ensuring adherence to health and safety protocol

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

May be called upon to assist in other areas of the Emergency Logistics function which includes PPE and test kit distribution across Hackney & CoL
KILLS, ABILITIES & KNOWLEDGE:

Experience in compliance roles against regulatory guidelines preferred
Experience supporting operations in a customer facing environment
Experience at events &/or public health environments
Willingness to work outside, if required
Excellent customer service skills
Agile approach to work to suit business needs in a fast changing environment
Ability to remain calm under pressure
Act in accordance with the Council’s Constitution and Code of Conduct
Strong communication skills

Countywide Continuing Healthcare Team
A unique opportunity has arisen to work with the Countywide Continuing Healthcare Team for NYCC. The majority of the role is working closely with our colleagues in the CCG and providing business support to the CHC assessment team and to the CHC countywide process including timely support for people discharged from hospital.
The role requires daily use of liquid logic adults (LLA) & Microsoft office (excel, outlook & teams).
The role requires effective organisational skills, time management and decision making. It includes monitoring and responding to incoming emails, including enquiries and appointments and, regular communication with both the CCG and the CHC Team Manager, in order to arrange appointments and ensure that the tasks for the DSTs are completed in a timely way.
All of our team are currently working virtually (home based working) rather than face to face with meetings completed using MS Teams. There are regular team catch-ups via teams for support.
The roles are until the end of September 2021 and are Monday to Friday (day time office hours). 37 Hours per week.
