We are looking for an Interim Director of Safeguarding and Quality Assurance for Adults across Essex County Council. The hiring manager is looking to interview candidates week commencing 08/03 and for a successful candidate to start 22/03
Day rate is set at £528.15, however we may consider higher day rates with significant experience.
Job Purpose
Passionate about the protection and safeguarding of adults, this is a complex and demanding role requiring fine judgement. As the council’s designated professional lead for safeguarding adults, this leader has a deep professional expertise and is a subject matter expert working across the authority and with our statutory partners.
This role is about so much more than just ensuring compliance with legislative requirements. This leader will drive wider quality assurance and best practice initiatives across internal and external provision, ensuring a strengths-based approach permeates decision making at all levels and that a culture of reflective learning and improvement is developed and embedded.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Evidence of continuing professional development and expert knowledge in a relevant professional area.
A deep understanding, gained through significant experience, in developing solutions to deliver value for money services in a relevant service/functional area.
Strong project management and commercial experience with evidence of a clear understanding of the financial responsibilities associated with programmes of work.
Experience of working with stakeholders, supply chains and partners to agree and deliver appropriate commercial structures which incentivise delivery.
Proven ability to focus on results, forging a strong team from diverse backgrounds to achieve strategic objectives.
Proven communication skills with an ability to influence both strategically and corporately in a complex organisation with senior stakeholders.
Proven track record of using professional expertise to deliver strategic objectives and expected outcomes, while managing conflicting priorities.
Experience of successful delivery within a rapidly changing and ambiguous environment.
Experience of creating and proactively leading change initiatives in a complex environment
