This role is purely for minute taking and database entry only (Liquid Logic.)

The candidate must have a minimum typing speed of 60 wpm and a typing test will need to be taken (this will be provided after a brief telephone interview.) The candidate should ideally have experience of minute-taking in any setting.

The type of minutes they will be taking are sensitive and confidential, so adhering to GDPR is crucial. This is an opportunity to join a small Trading Standards team at Lambeth and shape the service and its delivery.
As the manager of the team, you will set the priorities for the year ahead, carry a caseload, provide expert advice, and carry out line management functions. You will also be looking at opportunities to increase revenue into the team.
We are looking for a motivated, experience, knowledgeable and qualified manager who can undertake Weights and Measures responsibilities.

Qualification
The Diploma in Consumer Affairs and Trading Standards (DCATS), a Consumer Protection degree or equivalent experience.
A suitable qualification to act as Chief Inspector of Weights and Measures

Key Knowledge
Knowledge and understanding of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act (PACE), the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act (RIPA), Criminal Proceedings and Investigations Act (CPIA) and Human Rights Act (HRA).
In-depth specialist knowledge of legislation enforced by Trading Standards, evidential and court procedures and an understanding of Proceeds of Crime, Money Laundering and related legislation and membership of the Chartered Trading Standards Institute
In-depth specialist knowledge of the principles and application of primary authority arrangements

Relevant Experience
At least two years’ experience in the management and delivery of a similar Trading Standards or regulatory role within a public sector organisation.

At least one year’s experience of leading on criminal investigations to a high professional standard. This will include good knowledge, investigative skills and experience in identification of offences, gathering and recording evidence, interviewing suspects and preparing prosecution reports.
Proven experience of leading on trading standards work across the relevant consumer protection areas including:
Product Safety;
Fair Trading (Criminal);
Intellectual Property;
Metrology

Service Desk analyst required to take first line calls on the phone, response to calls raised on the portal and may also be required to attend other sites to undertake work
Role Purpose
We are looking for a customer focused Service Desk analyst who can deliver exceptional service to digital users across Haringey.

You’ll need to be an excellent communicator, both orally and written, and have a professional telephone manner with a good measure of patience plus the ability to explain instructions clearly to non-IT staff at all levels across the council.

As well as being able to demonstrate strong ICT competencies and an aptitude to learn, you’ll need to have a strong customer service ethos.  It’s a fast-paced environment and we need enthusiastic staff who are passionate about resolving 1st and 2nd line ICT issues. You are not just desk bound in this role as you will support users in our “hub” and visit other sites to support our users. This role can be pressuring and challenging at times but if you’re able to take up the challenge, then you will find it a rewarding job and it could just be the perfect next move for you. 
  
A strong knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems with emphasis on Windows 7/10 and Office 365 would be very beneficial. ITIL qualification and/or MCP certification is preferable but not essential.  

Qualifications

Ideally educated to A level or equivalent standard, or holds a relevant professional qualification.

Technical Experience / Skills / Knowledge  
 
Proficient in understanding the IT / IS infrastructure, configurations and the IT applications and service processes used within the organisation.

Proficient in installation, testing and commissioning of supplier specific equipment and software in all legitimate operational environments.

Familiar with the use of tools or systems which provide access security control (ie prevents unauthorised access to systems).

Familiar with techniques for identifying, gathering and validating users’ needs in the delivery of Digital services.

Familiar with corporate, industry and professional standards, policies, regulations, compliance and codes of conduct associated with the role.

Familiar with configuration management and version control.
