The post is based within the Major Works Team under the line management of the Programme Manager and will manage all administrative aspects of the Major Works Team’s processes.
It is responsible for managing, co-ordinating and developing the business processes and IT systems used by the team. The post holder will collate and analyse performance information, which will be provided by the data team and ensure accuracy and ensuring robust reporting data for management and performance monitoring.
This role will co-ordinate works and inspections for surveyors, filing and scanning of documentation, staff and absence returns, stationery ordering, payment of accounts and invoices and preparation of papers and minute taking of relevant meetings.
This will be pivotal role in developing and maintaining vital links with other relevant teams within Housing and across the Council as whole. You will be first point of contact for the team and will either answer enquiries or ensure that the enquiry is passed on to a relevant team member and the enquirer is aware of this.
This role will be responsible for maintaining centralised systems to ensure that all relevant documentation is updated and copies of certification is updated on the document management system.
Place orders with contractors, track and monitor completions and where completions are outside timescales raise with project managers.
You will develop and maintain good business relationships whilst ensuring good practice, sound financial accounting & statistical work and maintaining the organisations vision.
At present the role will be working from home.

MAIN PURPOSE:

- Monitor, review and evaluate care plans in order to ensure that they are meeting the needs of service users.
- Hold a small caseload concentrating on those with complex care needs.

- Identify and report unmet needs and short-falls in the construction of individual care plans.

Experience
No prior experience of working in a care environment is required
Key Activities
Provide person centered care and support (including laundry, housekeeping and kitchen duties) as identified in the care plan, whilst promoting choice and enabling customers to maintain independence and dignity.
Assist in keeping the location clean, safe and odour free for customers.
Maintain and complete accurate documentation of all care and support undertaken. Recognise, document and report any changes in the care plan, and participate in customer reviews as required

Outreach Team
Purpose of the Role:
To provide care and support to adults living with dementia, learning disabilities, autistic spectrum disorder, older people and people with a sensory or physical impairment, either in the community or home based. The focus being to support individuals to regain confidence, maximise independence and to continue living at home and access the community. The service provides Long- or short-term support
We must ensure those we support and their informal support network (if they have one) is at the centre of all decisions about how they are supported. You will provide the service in such a way that the adult is able to feel secure, confident and included in all decisions regarding the service provided to them.
Services must be delivered in line with CQC standards.
Examples of services that may be provided:

⦁ support to access social activities/ community
⦁ support to access and maintain employment
⦁ support to access benefits and finance management
support to access medical support to maximise health and wellbeing
Skills, Experience, Knowledge, Behaviours
Essential:
- As a regular and intrinsic part of this role requires you to speak to members of the public in English, the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential and consistent with the requirements of this role. This role also requires you to be polite and courteous when conversing with the public.
- A Social Care qualification i.e. NVQ/QCF 3 in Social Care or equivalent.
- Competent when using the IT systems and ability to maintain electronic records in accordance with statutory requirements and data protection policy.
- An understanding of domiciliary care services regulatory requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ Experience of supporting vulnerable adults with home and community based personal care and support.
- Ability to work independently using own initiative and as part of a team while managing workload effectively, prioritising work and adopting a flexible can-do approach to changing demands of the service.

- To lead on the detailed design, strategy and development of projects and programmes for the Brighter Futures Directorate. This includes working cross Council with service users and partner agencies.
- To lead the development and delivery of key Bright Futures projects and programmes including primarily the Year of the Young Person and School Holiday programmes and all supporting work streams. To lead on all aspects of ongoing programme management, including recruitment, delivery, performance and impact monitoring, governance, and budget management.
- To ensure that programme outcomes are achieved through quantitative and qualitative evaluation and to share learning from programme implementation and its impact with local, regional and national bodies.
- The post holder will be required to work some evenings in order to meet service requirements and in order to ensure appropriate representation of the Council with residents, the Mayor and elected members, and external bodies.
EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS
Evidence of relevant continuous professional development such as APM, LEAN, Prince 2, MSP
Degree educated or equivalent level experience.
KNOWLEDGE:
A clear understanding of the issues facing young people who are eligible for Free School meals and/or otherwise vulnerable in Newham.
Specialist knowledge and awareness of the holiday activity delivery landscape in Newham and/or other similar boroughs.
Knowledge of relevant current legislation, the key national and local policy issues, and of the challenges being set by the changing agenda relating to local government
