The pay rate is £17.75 per hour
LBN is seeking to recruit 5 staff on a temporary basis (initially 2-3 months, subject to possible extension), to support the delivery of essential grant administration work, to local businesses who have been negatively impacted by the Covid pandemic.
The role is working on a full time basis (36 hours a week), with a usual working pattern of 9am – 5pm (there is some flexibility to adjust this if required e.g. 8am – 4pm or 10pm – 6pm).
Under current national government guidance, these roles will be based working from home. ICT equipment will be provided on loan for the role (this will need to be collected by the successful candidate in person at our Newham Dockside offices). At a later date, there may be a requirement to attend our office, which is based in Stratford, E20.
The role is based in the Our Newham Business and Enterprise Team.
The role is responsible for assessing additional restrictions business grant applications within agreed timescales and in line with the organisation auditing principles.
Some examples of the duties include;
• Providing recommendations against each grant application.
• Providing inputs to ongoing planning with grant making team
• Ensuring that grant assessments are completed according to the operational and financial needs of the programme in a time-pressured environment.
• Keeping the relevant internal stakeholders informed about progress against upcoming deadlines and deliverables.
• Identifying and developing strategies to optimise the speed, transparency and accuracy of grants assessments within the programme.
• Reviewing briefings and other related information connected with the grant-funded programmes
• Providing advice on good practice in grant management, lessons learnt, scaling programmes and giving effective feedback to grantees
• Ensuring applications are eligible to apply in line with business status
• Examining and verifying evidence provided with the application and requesting additional evidence if required.
• From the evidence provided, demonstrate that the applicant has or has not met the pre-agreed criteria to be eligible for an additional restrictions grant. Sign post where required to future grants that the business might be eligible for.

Supporting settings and parents to provide the right information if an EHC needs assessment request is made.
Coordinating the 20-week process, liaising with settings, parents and other professionals.
Attending EHC plan review meetings, at critical points such as change in phase of education.
You will chair and attend annual reviews where there is a high risk of placement breakdown or a complex case within the targeted age groups. You can call upon support from Team Leaders/ Team Manager where required.
An EHCP Coordinator will ensure all communications and contacts with young people, parents, schools, settings and other agencies about SEN casework and general SEN issues are proactive, supportive, timely and constructive so that confidence in the service is maintained and improved.
Relevant Experience
Experience in this area of work gained by either education (degree or equivalent) or through a minimum of 3 years experience
Experience of working and liaising with parents, carers and other agencies in a multi-disciplinary setting
Experience of managing conflicting demands and priorities, working to tight timescales

We are looking for Care assistants to cover part time and full time day & night shifts. Both positions are a 12 hour shift pattern either 8am – 8pm or 8pm to 8am. Full time will be 4 /days/nights per week.

standards and supports happy living for the years ahead
Knowledge and Understanding
⦁ Ability to read, understand and complete / contribute to care plans.
⦁ Health and safety in the workplace.
⦁ Manual handling procedures.
⦁ Safeguarding vulnerable adults.
⦁ Food hygiene.
⦁ Mental Capacity Act
Understanding of confidentiality and data protection within a care setting.
Experience
No prior experience of working in a care environment is required
Qualifications
Care level 2 diploma
Key Activities
Provide person centered care and support (including laundry, housekeeping and kitchen duties) as identified in the care plan, whilst promoting choice and enabling customers to maintain independence and dignity.
Assist in keeping the location clean, safe and odour free for customers.
Maintain and complete accurate documentation of all care and support undertaken. Recognise, document and report any changes in the care plan, and participate in customer reviews as required

MAIN PURPOSE:
To discharge the authority’s responsibilities under the Children Act 1989 and other relevant legislation with respect to children in need, particularly those in need of protection and those looked after by the authority.
KNOWLEDGE
Knowledge of the Children Act 1989, the 2004 Children Act Amendment and other relevant legislation, regulations and guidance such as new assessment framework.
Knowledge of the range of services, which are available to children and families, and of the organisational framework within which they are provided.
Knowledge of child development and of family functioning and dynamics.
Knowledge of methods of social work intervention.
EXPERIENCE
Experience of children and families social work within a statutory, voluntary or independent sector organisation (experience as a student is acceptable).
In order to be appointed to Level 3 relevant post qualification experience of a range of casework is required. This must include proven assessment skills and experience of a range of Social work interventions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree or equivalent qualification in Social Care
Registered with Health and Care Professions Council
Those holding a social work qualification from 2012 onwards must provide evidence of successfully completing an assessed and supported year in employment OR if newly qualified undertake to an ‘assessed and supported year in employment’ as part of the council’s probationary process.
