We are seeking to appoint a Principal Planning Officer on a temporary basis for an initial period of three months, while we undertake recruitment for the permanent post.

The successful candidate must be highly experienced and able to hit the ground running, with a proven track record of managing major planning applications.  As this is a temporary post the successful applicant will need to be comfortable picking up applications part way through and moving the applications on to determination. This includes major industrial developments and residential schemes of up to 200 dwellings. The building control department ensures that buildings are designed and constructed in accordance with the Building Regulations and associated legislation. It is the responsibility of those carrying out the work to ensure that the provisions of the regulations are fully met. Job Purpose:

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Nursery Cook to provide temporary cover at a nursery in Haringey. This is a key role in ensuring children receive fresh, nutritious meals that meet their individual dietary needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook fresh meals and snacks daily for children aged 0–5.

Cater to a range of dietary requirements, including allergies and cultural preferences.

Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen.

Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and nursery policies.

Collaborate with the nursery team to plan balanced menus.

Keep accurate records of food temperatures, cleaning schedules, and allergy information.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a childcare or educational setting.

Strong understanding of food allergies, intolerances, and dietary needs.

Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate 

Enhanced DBS check (required prior to starting).

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

THIS ROLE IS 4 DAYS PER WEEK, ALL TRAINING IS OFFICE BASED

Your responsibilities are to:-

Administration

  • Responsible for timely and professional managing of incoming and outgoing correspondence from the social work teams (e.g. letters, emails, mail merges and verbal communications)
  • Responsible for storing information correctly e.g file management of paper and electronic notes and records 
  • Gather information and copy to respond to Data Protection Subject Access requests (DSARs)
  • General minute taking as requested ie: strategy meetings, which very occasionally may include travelling to meetings across and outside of the County
  • Responsible for administrative tasks e.g. photocopying, scanning, printing, room bookings, transport and hotel bookings etc.
  • Data base validation, reporting and updating databases as we move from one system to another
  • Booking meetings, diary management and sending meeting invites and corresponding minutes
  • Responsible for maintaining supplies and stock control (e.g. Stationary)
  • Conduct timely �file audits� to ensure that Children�s files have appropriate documentation prior to transfer to the next team
  • Adhoc administrative tasks to meet service requirements as requested

Experience

Recent and relevant experience of working within an administrative environment.

Experience of organising and facilitating meetings including minute taking and experience of organising diaries.

Experience of developing and maintaining administrative systems

Have experience of managing systems and data for record keeping, collation of information and statistics.

Communication and interpersonal skills

  • Must possess high level oral and written communication skills, showing ability to maintain systems and produce documents to a professional standard.
  • Must have the ability to communicate clearly with a range of individuals and organisations, by demonstrating a professional and sensitive approach.
  • Must have the ability to build good working relationships
  • High level of tact, diplomacy and a good understanding of the requirement of confidentiality.

About the role

As a Band 6 paediatric Occupational Therapist you will work in a range of settings as an autonomous

practitioner, providing high quality paediatric occupational therapy to support children and young

people with disabilities to achieve their potential. You will have the opportunity to work

collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support children and young people’s occupational

therapy needs and provide specialist advice to other disciplines. You will carry a specialist caseload of children and young people with a variety of complex physical, learning and social needs and be responsible for writing reports for EHCP and MDT assessments/reviews. As part of the role you will contribute to the supervision of students on clinical placement and support workers who are working with children and young people on your caseload.


Qualifications

● Diploma/BSc/Graduate Diploma/MSc in Occupational Therapy.

● Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.

evidence of CPD (maintained portfolio).

Skills and experience

● Experience of clinical assessment and intervention as an Occupational Therapist.
