Practice and Quality Assurance Consultant within Youth Offending Service

Following the redesign of our service, we have invested in creating a new dedicated practice and quality assurance post to lead effective practice within delivery of youth justice services.
The post holder will lead on our quality assurance programme of work, workforce development and commissioned health provision, supporting the Head of Service and operational leadership team driving practice improvements.
We are looking for a high calibre experienced and motivated youth justice professional who knows what good and outstanding youth justice service looks like and is able to take the workforce on the journey to help us to achieve excellence. You will be:

Essential Qualifications
- Professional qualification in a relevant discipline (Law, Youth Work, Social Work, Teaching, Probation)
- Recognised Youth Justice accredited training
Essential experience:
• A proven record of being able to improve and drive the innovative practice of a Youth Offending Service.
• Experience of writing high quality reports for a variety of audience.
• Experience of testing and evaluating practice, including strong case file auditing skills
• Proven experience of establishing and effectively arranging a multi-disciplinary and partnership working arrangements.
• Experience of staff supervision, including task allocations, priority setting, performance management and training and development.
• A detailed understanding of effective quality assurance and what ‘outstanding’ looks like.
