Working within the health and adult services directorate you will be based in a resource or day centre. The services support adults with learning disabilities. These may include high support needs, complex needs, challenging behaviour and autism.
You will enable people to maximise their independence in line with their assessed need, working in partnership with health, voluntary and private agencies, families and carers.
The LD support worker will work in line with current legislation and service plans, working within the framework of Care Quality commission standards. You will work in ways which maintain dignity, respect and human rights.
You will adhere to safe working practices and health and safety requirements, operating within the directorates risk management framework.
Some of the services are provided 24hrs a day as part of a seven day service.
This role involves spoken communications so a confident use of English language is required.
An enhanced DBS clearance is required.

We’re looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Navigator to join the team at Mulberry Junction. As the post-holder you will work 1:1 with guests to identify their needs and make appropriate onward referrals. You will be working in partnership with Homes for Haringey, multidisciplinary teams, specialist staff and external partners to support our guests affected by homelessness to achieve their goals.
The role involves working on a rota along with the rest of the team, Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am- 6pm.
You will:
• Confident working in a 1:1 capacity with people, to help them identify their priorities and goals.
• Possess experience working with adults experiencing substance use, mental health issues and those affected by homelessness
• Focussed on finding solutions to sometimes complex problems and working with other people and organisations to do so
• Be committed to developing services with the people who use them, to reflect the diversity of Haringey.
• Be committed to creating a welcoming, positive and focused environment.
• Confident communicating to a wide range of people with respect.
• Have experience working in a psychologically informed environment or awareness of the approach
• Be solution focused and motivated to tackle the causes and effects of homelessness with a personalised, collaborative, and dynamic approach
• Feel confident working in partnership with a range of internal and external partners

The Trainer Assessor will be occupationally competent and suitably qualified, they will be part of a team who is responsible for the delivery of our apprenticeship standards. The post holder will participate in the planning and delivery of a range of programmes within their area of expertise and this will include short courses, full qualifications and apprenticeships. Key duties and responsibilities – responsible for

  1. Planning and designing learning content across a variety different method and platforms for AfC that meet Apprenticeship standards and related external body requirements
  2. Delivering consistently good training and assessment within the curriculum through an effective variety of teaching and learning activities.
  3. Actively involved and supporting the recruitment and induction of learners, meeting individual needs, accessing support where needed.
