This encompasses hard and soft services, building fabric and fire and security systems. This will be delivered via outsourced service providers and a small in-house team.
The person will be able to demonstrate experience in a senior operational role in a public sector organisation delivering operational to a diverse multi-site portfolio this can be either direct or as a contractor. The person must have a core electrical qualification and able to demonstrate a sound understanding of mechanical systems including current water hygiene training and building fabric.

About the job

To support the existing team through a period of change, reporting into the interim Maintenance manager LBB are looking for an experienced Mechanically biased Estates services Technician to support the organisation on an interim basis to deliver the reactive and PPM function of the facilities service currently delivered by a third party provider.
This role will be reporting to the Interim, Building Maintenance officer providing first line response to work requests, assisting with the management of contractors such a writing permit to work and escorting them on site.
The person must be able to demonstrate their competency i.e trade qualification, water hygiene training, and have experience working in a multi site operational maintenance environment.

The SPA Access Officer will be the access point for service users, other professionals and members of the
public taking and managing the referral process for referrals concerning the safeguarding of children.
They will be part of a high impact and high profile service managing initial contacts, where at times there
will be emotional demands in responding to customers, who may be distressed.
They will develop and maintain good working relationships with a broad range of internal and external
partners including the Police, Education, Health, Probation and the voluntary Sector to ensure the
safeguarding referrals are responded to effectively and in a timely manner. The SPA Access Officer will
provide secretarial and administrative support including preparing correspondence, collating papers for
key meetings and performing general office administration . This will include maintaining and updating
the teams database and client database so that colleagues have access to up-to-date records and to
ensure statutory requirements for the storage of client records and other sensitive data are in line with
Borough’s requirements. They will also complete induction visits with new staff and visitors or students
providing appropriate guidance and ensure that they have a good overview of general office procedures
to assist them in their work routines.
Skills and experience
Experience of building strong partnerships, maintaining relationships and co-producing solutions to challenges across a diverse set of stakeholders, including children, young people and their families. Advocating the voices of those we are working with.
Experience of keeping and maintaining records (in accordance with local policy) and producing accurate reports, presentations, written updates to a range of stakeholders (which may include families, children or young people).
Knowledge of statutory legislation (for example Children’s Act) and national policy drivers that will affect children’s services and your role.
An awareness and understanding of the Children’s Social Care Sector and social work practice and relevant legislation underpinning this in particular safeguarding.
Experience of providing front line advice and support to customers.
Good interpersonal skills and a clear efficient telephone manner.
A good communicator who can respond calmly under pressure.
Integrity and the ability to deal with confidential information/matters on a regular basis.

Purpose of the job:

Main Responsibilities:
- To carry out the full duties associated with the trade of a Labourer/Driver including:
a) Carrying our deliveries normally within the borough.
b) Transport to site and erect easy deck scaffolding to be used by others to carry out work later return and safely dismantle and remove.
c) Picking up any rubbish and tipping within the borough.
d) Use Catscan in order to trace and identify pipe work and services in foot paths and verges prior to excavation work being carried out.
e) Working with other trades persons to assist and carry out breaking out and laying concrete/digging holes/ trenches/footing ladders.
f) Sweeping up/tidying sites and alike as directed by our supervisor.
- To carry out various labouring work for the repairs service.
