The Transformation Team have been working in partnership with PwC over the past 18 months; to develop and implement a specialist team to drive forward the roll out of Robotics Process Automation (RPA). We have successfully implemented 12 automations and have established a work programme of circa 30 processes which are considered suitable for automation.

We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled Project Manager to lead the RPA programme delivery. The successful candidate will be expected to work across all directorates and engage senior managers to ensure the full benefits of process automation are realised. Working across the business and ICT to make best use of available resources and ensure the work plan is delivered on time and to agreed outcomes. A true problem solver with the desire to take ownership of RPA as a solution to drive efficiency and ensure it is effectively deployed across the Council.

The Systems and Data Analyst will focus on providing system support, system development and quality
assurance across our systems with primary focus on our HR/Payroll system. In addition the role will be
required to coordinate all reporting processes for the service. The role will collaborate across Workforce
Development Services, contributing to the long term goal of ensuring we have data led decision making
across all teams. The post holder will be expected to bring experience in managing the systems we use
and have knowledge of how to undertake data analysis, validate system information provided and
reconcile data sets. The role will carry out system and data quality checks, maintain system and data
quality and be able to work with different systems and data sources, specifying processing requirements
and proposing solutions for correcting data issues to ensure payroll is accurate.
This role will be able to balance the technical and analytical demands of the role with the need for strong
engagement with colleagues in the team and other services to produce quality information. The role will
be expected to introduce new data processes, to ensure the service is compliant with statutory
regulations and can operate efficiently. It would help if the candidate has a strong knowledge of
spreadsheets and building formulas to enable data to be used in a variety of ways.

Qualifications
A relevant professional qualification in HR i.e (CIPD Level 5 or above) or substantial data management/ data analytics experience.
Proven evidence of continuing professional development within a HR field.
Skills and experience
Highly experienced and proficient in using iTrent as a HR and Payroll system
Highly experienced and proficient in using the Business Objects tools to build and develop reports.
Advanced knowledge and experience of SQL, Excel, Google Sheets,
Experience of preparing reports that can be used for statutory data returns
Excellent analytical skills to monitor and report on activity and an ability to translate data analysis into targeted information which can be converted into actionable improvements
Experience of managing difficult conversations with colleagues and customers, using calming and de-escalation techniques.
Experience of providing system support within a HR environment to employees, managers, and external customers that is pragmatic and solution focused in line with our policies and processes.
Experience of building strong partnerships, maintaining relationships and co-producing solutions to HR, payroll and recruitment challenges across a diverse set of stakeholders.
Proven ability to effectively monitor, use, report and present on data intelligence to inform, advise and improve HR, payroll and recruitment activities across the organisation.
