Job Description:
In this varied and challenging role, you will work with both Health & Social Care colleagues to provide an excellent Social Work Service. 
In West Sussex we have a real focus on strengths-based approaches and community led support; both yourself and the team will be working hard to support people to regain their skills and independence following their hospital admission, wherever possible. 

As an experienced Social Worker, your focus will be on delivering statutory social work service. This includes undertaking complex work, and ensuring work is delivered in a timely manner. You will remain up to date and compliant with all relevant legislation and adhere to organisational procedures, policies, codes of conduct and the values of West Sussex. The role will involve you working with the Northern area Social work teams. These teams comprise the Mid-Sussex, Horsham and Crawley teams, working out of County Hall North and Crawley Library (if designated to work with the Crawley team). To provide an accountable statutory social work service to those people who access or need the service to include assessment, planning and review. The worker is expected to work within organisational, policy and legislative requirements. 

Key Accountabilities: 
• Act as a professional representative for the service by working with a focus on delivering services to those people who access or need the service, acting with integrity, professionalism and respect on behalf of the organisation, ensuring at all times that the needs of individuals are paramount. 
• We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.

Main Purpose of Post/Job Summary

Act as part of a multidisciplinary IT Department contributing to the management and delivery of IT services, with a focus on coordination and administration, and support for local service request fulfilment.
Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Provide operational and administrative support across the range of IT Department functions:
    a. Assist the IT Manager in the development of IT service delivery processes, including the development of IT related standard operating procedures and policies to enable effective operational management of the IT Department
    b. Contribute to the coordination and administration of IT Department operational processes (e.g. team documentation, finance, risk management, procurement etc.)
  2. Respond to and deal with service fulfilment requests, in accordance with agreed procedures, including local user, service, equipment and site supports.
  3. To provide advice and assistance to Elected Members, staff and associated groups on all IT matters that contribute to the efficient running of the service.
  4. Maintain a register of all IT assets
  5. Maintain appropriate stock of IT equipment and consumables
  6. Where directed, oversee works provided by third parties and contractors ensuring compliance with agreed processes
  7. To administer user and system accounts and security features to protect information while allowing appropriate access to users.
  8. To support council training in Information Technology through identification of training needs and the provision of ‘in house’ training.
  9. Support Information Management governance to ensure safe, effective and legally compliant use of Council data
  10. Contribute to the development of information management processes and promote best practice within the organisation
  11. Provide IT support in response to the invocation of the Council Emergency or Disaster Recovery Plans.
  12. Responsible for temporarily assigned staff and the co-ordination and overseeing of students supervised and the administration of all relevant records, in line with the placement.

  • This is an essential OT role within Adult Social Care, where you will be responsible for carrying out OT assessments needs and providing advice and guidance to our service users. Under the direction of the Performance and Information Manager you work across the Council’s Adult and Children’s social care and Education teams to improve the reporting and information recording capabilities of the Department.

Job Summary:
A position exists for a full time credit controller, working 36 Hours per week. Candidates must have two years credit control experience to be considered.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

Service Specific Accountabilities:
