As our permanent Head of Culture and Employee Engagement, you will be part of our senior management team, responsible for delivering key elements of our People Strategy and will provide expert and professional HROD leadership, and advice. You will be partnering with and coaching senior leaders to ensure services are accessible, efficient and provide value for money to our customers and residents.
Working closely with the Service Director of HROD, you will be responsible for a small team developing and leading organisational development activities which deliver a culture of high performance and employee engagement in support of the Council's People's Strategy. This will include developing, implementing and evaluating the impact of cross-organisational strategies, plans, systems and processes in areas including learning and development.
You will need to be a highly credible professional with a demonstrable passion and drive for organisational development and employee engagement.
You will need:
• A recognised HROD or L&D qualification and CIPD member status is essential
• Experience of leading an organisational development function for a complex organisation, whether as a stand-alone practitioner or as a manager
• Current knowledge and understanding of organisational design techniques and approaches
• Knowledge and understanding of HROD processes and interventions which embed culture change, behaviours and values, and achieve employee engagement.

As our permanent Head of Health and Safety, you will be part of the senior management team, responsible for delivering key elements of our People Strategy in line with the Council’s values and behaviours.
You will provide expert and professional health and safety leadership, and advice, working collaboratively with colleagues to contribute to the safe, efficient and effective delivery of the Council’s vision, priorities and services.
Working closely with the Service Director of HROD, you will be responsible for a small team delivering a high quality service to leaders and managers across the Council in a variety of settings.

The Exchequer Controls Manager will be instrumental in promoting continuous service improvement while delivering change.

The London Borough of Havering Children’s Services is looking to recruit independent foster panel members. Our inclusive Foster panel meets at least twice a month in person in the Havering Town Hall, based in the centre of Romford (30 minutes from the centre of London). We are a rapidly changing borough with one of the highest growing child populations in the country. We want to reflect the growing diversity of Havering’s local population in our panel membership and are looking for people from different professional and cultural backgrounds to join us.
Previous panel experience is not essential. We want to recruit panel members from a wide variety of backgrounds including professionals with a background in heal, education and social care. You must have experience either professionally or personally, or both, of the journey of a child in care. We would welcome applications from previously care experienced adults. The successful candidates will be placed on our central membership rota. Relevant degree or equivalent and 3+ years of experience

EXPERIENCE:

Experience of working with professional, technical and administrative staff within a local authority or large multi-disciplinary organisation
Experience of technical skills associated with the relevant service area
Evidence of successful innovation, initiative and consistent achievement in either a public sector or private sector environment
Experience of developing good working relationships with a wide range of internal and external bodies and customers as part of developing effective service delivery
Experience of financial management including financial monitoring and budgetary control procedures of projects and budget lines
Experience of the application of technology solutions in a relevant and changing environment
Experience of site supervision
Experience of delivering complex public realm projects within an existing busy urban context
Experience of project and contract management within the relevant service area of projects up to £2m in value
Experience in the preparation, writing and submission of committee and management reports
