This is an exciting time to join Essex Educational Psychology Service (EPS). A new role of SEND Inclusion and Psychology Lead has been established in each quadrant following our redesign. They will work collaboratively across the leadership team to strategically plan and drive forward the SEND vision for Essex. They will lead and manage the SEND Inclusion team made up of EPs, Inclusion Partners and Assistant EPs to effectively support individual and clusters of schools, settings and colleges to be inclusive for children with SEND.
This role includes all aspects of managing a team of EPs within the area and holding countywide responsibilities for service-related development.


Key accountabilities
Effectively lead and develop the SEND Inclusion team within a designated quadrant, overseeing the system for programme allocation and management across the team.
Accountable for the quality and impact of the work of the Inclusion team, showing a commitment to evidence-based practice. Providing support and supervision to the team for the most complex individual setting/schoolwork.
Accountable as the professional lead for SEND Inclusion and Psychology on behalf of the local authority (LA), in one quadrant.
Contribute to statutory processes and seek to promote effective decision making and strategic planning, resourcing and deployment of staff across the quadrant.
Work with the quadrant leadership team, social care, health, parents/carers and educational settings to innovate and co-produce news ways of working.
Work closely with School Effectiveness Partners to develop cohesive and collaborative practice of the SEND Inclusion and School Effectiveness teams, for the benefit of schools and settings.

Skills Knowledge and Experience
The successful candidate will have a Doctorate or Master’s degree in Educational Psychology and eligibility for chartered status within the British Psychological Society. A minimum of 2 years’ experience working as an Educational Psychologist is essential.
The role requires substantial experience as an Educational Psychologist working in a local authority context, detailed knowledge of effective research-informed interventions, and excellent leadership skills.

This is a two-year joint commissioning post with the CCG to manage a programme of work across the Council and NHS children’s services
JOB PURPOSE

The Associate Director of Integrated Children & Young People’s Commissioning is an interim role within the joint working arrangements established between NHS South East London CCG Bromley Place Based Team and the London Borough of Bromley (LBB). The postholder will be employed as part of the One Bromley Health and Care Partnership arrangements.

The postholder will lead a joint children and young people’s commissioning programme that enables the CCG and LBB to deliver service and system transformation in a number of priority areas .

The One Bromley Partnership has a joint vision and commitment to develop effective, joined-up commissioning systems and processes to better meet the needs of local people in Bromley within available resources. The postholder is a member of the senior team advising and supporting the Director of Integrated Commissioning as the new operating model for Integrated Commissioning in Bromley is further designed and developed.

The postholder will work with the Director and colleagues within the local health & social care leadership community to secure outcomes and strength-based approaches to commissioning and contribute to the further development of integrated care systems in Bromley.

Education / Qualifications

Educated to masters level with additional in depth professional knowledge in own discipline over a significant period

Evidence of ongoing professional and personal development

Management qualification

Experience

Experience of leading and helping to develop an integrated commissioning function and/or care service at a local level, working across multiagency settings, including within a health commissioning organisation and a local authority.

Senior management experience of commissioning health and/or social care across settings of care e.g. primary, secondary and community care

Experience and understanding of priorities attuned to children’s and family services with an acute awareness of safeguarding issues that children’s services manage day to day with the complexities and the high demand that this can place upon services provided to children.

Proven experience of planning, policy and development at senior level

MAIN PURPOSE:

Development and Flood Risk Officer – £141.49 per day

The Development and Flood Risk Officer will log applications, assessing, deciding and informing the Planning Authority whether proposals are supported or objected to, on the basis of flood risk and inclusion of sustainable drainage systems (SuDS). This is part of the Lead Local Flood Authority’s statutory consultee role for major planning applications.

The role is required to work across and understand the policies/processes in highways, water companies and the Environment Agency, maintaining knowledge of recent developments in the field of SuDS including flood risk, water quality, biodiversity, viability, water supply, construction and building regulations. Knowledge and understanding of drainage design and analysis software systems is key to success in this role.

Role Responsibilities:

Responsible for responding to major planning application consultations and chargeable pre-application enquiries within required timescales, updating the applications database/case management system.
Work collaboratively with partners to address technical issues arising, to resolve quickly with no impact on response times.
Responsible for maintaining up-to-date knowledge of leading edge practice national legislation and guidance, determining effective practical application across the Council.
Deliver follow-up process to planning consultations e.g. logging assets on the asset register.
Attend engagement events as required and update partners/interested groups of the team’s activities on a regular basis if appropriate.
Screening out sites that do not require a response

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

Educated to degree level or equivalent by experience.
Evidence of continuing professional development and expert knowledge in relevant professional area.
Working knowledge of water and drainage asset management, including:-general knowledge of SuDS guidance and legislation, principles of sustainable development and best practice in the application of SuDS, basics of water-related law, regulation and policy, statutory planning and SuDS Approval processes.
Knowledge of applying a risk-based approach to asset management.
Experience of SuDS, from an approval perspective is desirable.
Experience of drainage design and analysis software systems (e.g. Micro Drainage), together with knowledge of data management.
Ability to build networks of contacts and maintain effective relationships across the Council and partners in both the public and private sector.
Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service skills.
