Initially, this is a 12 week placement.

JOB PURPOSE:

Runnymede Borough Council are refreshing end user IT equipment and require resource to roll out equipment.
The project requires that each desk in the council is provided with a docking station, 27inch monitor with gas arm. This equipment replaces old smaller monitor screens, docking units, laptop stands and user peripherals.
New equipment is currently boxed in the project room. Monitors will need to be attached to the gas arm, asset tagged and prepared prior to the deployment.
A Runnymede employee will deal with the interaction between the head of service, end user and quality check. A Runnymede employee will be always present to guide and assist.
Once the new equipment has been deployed the screen resolution and ergonomic distance should be set. A short training exercise for each end user is required to detail how to use ‘Windows Virtual Desktops’ and ‘Snap Assist’.
The job involves tidying cables, cleaning desks, connecting IT equipment and testing functionality. Old equipment will need to be removed to the project room ready for secure disposal. This job will be physically demanding.

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Working under the direction of the Supported Internship Programme Team Leader, the post holder provide work related support to individuals participating in the Supported Internship Programme. A key focus will be to assess and provide support to individuals with a disability or learning difficulty and help the intern develop the skills to perform and learn the work tasks of the Supported Internship through job accurate, efficient and safe guidance. The post holder will also assist with helping the individual acclimatise to their work environment and, in partnership with the tutor, provide support within the learning environment to enable the individual to progress and achieve the identified outcomes.
EDUCATION:
• Functional level of literacy and numeracy skills (Level 2) or willingness to achieve.
• Educated to Level 3 in Additional Learning Support or training qualification (eg PTLLS) or care related discipline or equivalent level of experience in the employment, training or care sector.
EXPERIENCE:
• Experience of working with young people and/or adults with learning difficulties and disabilities in an workplace or educational setting.
• Experience of mentoring and coaching, particularly in relation to learners with learning difficulties and disabilities.
• Experience of working on employability or training programmes to assist people into or back to work.
• Experience of working with employers.
• Experience of job searching/job matching using a variety of tools, methods and resources both 1:1 and group sessions.
• Experience of effective team working to achieve results.
KNOWLEDGE:
• Knowledge of government or local initiatives available to employers.
• Understanding of government and other funded programmes for Supported Internships, supported employment, etc.
• Knowledge of equality and diversity issues.
• Knowledge of the legal responsibilities concerning the safety and welfare of the interns in order to recognise and act on issues that may emerge.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Analytical and problem solving skills e.g. being able to match employers’ requirements with those of interns.
• Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of audiences e.g. young people and adult interns, tutors, HR managers, Employment Advisors, (oral/written).
• Commitment to safeguarding and promotion of the welfare of young people and adults.
• Well organised and disciplined e.g. effective diary and time management.
• Self-motivated and able to work under own initiative.
• IT skills including use of database, spread sheets, word.

To use a variety of legal and non legal remedies as part of interventions to deal with those engaged in anti-social behaviour and crime. To manage priority 1 level cases on behalf of council housing. To promptly challenge anti-social behaviour, working closely with relevant teams in Council Housing and other internal services and external organisations. To work with Police and other agencies to use a variety of legal and non-legal measures that are available to tackle crime and ASB reported in and around Enfield Council’s social housing stock.
To follow policies and procedures when dealing with victims and perpetrators of anti- social behaviour. To refer high risk cases and locational issues to existing multi-agency panels i.e. CMARAC and PPSG.
To represent the ASB Team at case work management meetings relevant to Crime and ASB ie Domestic Abuse MARAC and Integrated Offender Management Panel
