An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our agile and resourceful team. We are looking for an Administration Officer who enjoys working in a varied and busy environment and has previous office experience.
You will be based in an administration team providing support to front line staff delivering Council services across the Borough of Halton
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Responsible for data entry onto service specific IT systems
  2. Provision of administrative support to customers of the shared service when preparing for audits and inspections
  3. Creation and assistance in the maintenance of manual and computerised filing systems to enable up to date and accurate information to be retained and retrieved
  4. Assistance in the administration of financial transactions including placing orders, goods receipting and dealing with enquiries
  5. Responsible for the efficient organisation of internal, external and multi-agency meetings including arranging meetings, preparing and sending out agendas, booking rooms, attending and taking minutes of meetings, distributing minutes and following up on actions as appropriate
  6. Respond to with service specific enquiries, assess the urgency of enquiries and handle appropriately
  7. Provision of a word processing service including typing letters, short reports, presentations, client notes etc
  8. Responsible for updating and monitoring Council’s Record of employee lone working
    Provision of general administrative support as and when required including filing and photocopying

We are looking to recruit a locum qualified band 6 Physiotherapist to initially cover 6 month at 37 hrs per week. Based within the Halton Reablement Service and working with patients in their own homes, completing Therapy assessments and carry out rehabilitation interventions, assessment and to improve the outcome for service users and length of stay in the service.
To have a hands on approach with rehabilitation goals and treatments and be able to complete and update care plans for the Reablement staff to follow, Communicate closely and effectively in order to maximise rehab potential and complete paperwork efficiently and comprehensively.
To be able to work both independently and as an effective team member alongside the other health and social care services Reablement Service for initially 6 month.

Patient/Clinical Care

  1. To manage your clinical caseload with autonomy, guided by policies, procedures, codes of practice and departmental working practices.
  2. To undertake a comprehensive assessment of patients including those with a complex presentation, using investigative and advanced analytical skills and clinical reasoning.
  3. Using developed knowledge and experience to make a therapeutic diagnosis of a patient’s condition and interpret clinical findings and documentation to formulate a comprehensive specialised programme of care, including decision making about the most appropriate treatment options. This may be for patients with a wide range of diagnoses and problems and will need regular updating to ensure to ensure optimum therapeutic outcome.   5. To provide planned and spontaneous advise to patients/clients, junior staff, staff of other disciplines, formal and informal carers and relatives
  6. To have highly developed physical skills for the treatment of patients. This may involve the use of specialist equipment, materials and tools, for example for splinting, computers, equipment for activities of daily living.
  7. To be responsible for maintaining and managing accurate and comprehensive treatment records in line with professional and local standards.
  8. To frequently exert physical effort in cramped conditions and sustained postures for periods of up to 40 minutes several times a day. This would include moving patients as part of their treatment or moving equipment
  9. With every patient, concentration is required to listen, observe, evaluate, document, plan and act on information gathered.
  10. To deal with distressing or emotional situations, such as dealing with patients and families who are distressed due to acute or a terminal illness, those who are elderly, those with special needs and those experiencing prolonged ongoing deterioration.

Health Improvement Team within the Public Health Department of Halton Borough Council
Main Purpose of the Role

To provide a dietetic service within a specialist area of dietetics, assessing and treating own caseload of patients, translating scientific information about food and nutrition into practical everyday advice for weight management and maintaining associated records.
