Job Description :
We are seeking a Programme Support Officer to support the work undertaken by the Programme Management Office.
You will be responsible for maintenance and change control of project documents, planning and managing several small projects, as well as collecting, coordinating and analysing management information.
You will also plan and assist in the development and staging of a variety of events, including meetings, seminars and briefings.
You’ll need to demonstrate previous experience of working in a programme / project team.
You’ll have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and will be able to establish effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
You’ll be a great problem-solver, using your initiative to anticipate and resolve issues independently.
You’ll have excellent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel etc), and will be used to analysing complex information and statistics.
You will be adept at building relationships with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally providing advice and guidance.

Main purpose of the post:

Job Purpose
To provide Occupational Therapy assessments for individuals and their carers to assist them reaching their occupational outcomes within their home environment for those with long term barriers caused by their health. To subsequently work with them to formulate an action plan to remove barriers, building on the person’s strengths, supporting them to optimise function. Where required to recommend techniques, equipment and/or adaptations to enable them to continue living at home/in the community with as much independence as possible. To review interventions and build ongoing resilience prior to closure.
- Complete the Occupational Therapy process, in various settings within the community, for example people’s own homes, sheltered and residential homes or schools, working closely with colleagues in housing, health, care services, and the third sector managing a caseload of complex cases.
- Carry out outcome focussed occupational therapy assessments, and specialist assessments with regards to manual handling, positive risk taking, seating assessments and the environment to support the planning of detailed recommendations and interventions.
- Demonstrate knowledge and share techniques as appropriate to support people to develop optimal levels of functioning and to support their carers where possible.
- Assessment and provision where required of disability equipment, to use or rule out core stock and/or including researching non-stock specialist orders that will assist clients and / or carer’s to achieve / optimize safety and independence with daily living tasks.
- Assessment and recommendations where required to support the provision of adaptations to include minor and major adaptations to people’s homes in conjunction with housing colleagues and partners to assist clients and/or carer’s to achieve optimum independence in achieving their occupational outcomes. Where adaptations are not appropriate, the OT will assist in initiation and completion of re-housing assessments.

Temporary Recruitment Manager until March 2022 To drive Social Services Social Work and Occupational Therapy Recruitment campaign. Taking the lead on the recruitment of social work and occupational therapy service. We are looking to drive the agenda and recruit staff with pace, there is an urgent need to focus on social work vacancies in children’s and adult services with a focus also on occupational therapy over the next 3 months.
Take a lead and support recruiting managers with all aspects of recruitment, and marketing.
Identify and collate all the social work vacancies and occupational therapy, including temporary posts (i.e grant funding posts which are not part of the core establishment) across the social services portfolio to remove duplication, and streamline the process of getting positions advertised.
Research where marketing has the greatest impact through traditional advert formats (i.e specific publications) and digital solutions (i.e. websites, social media, local radio, Spotify etc) including costs, contractual arrangements to secure the best value for money and the revenue implications required for ongoing campaigns including staff and finances
Design creative, modern and attractive advertisements.
Exploring, and reporting innovative approaches implemented in other areas to attract and retain social workers and OT’s beyond ‘pay’ and identify how these could be implemented in Flintshire, taking a lead as appropriate
Ensure the social service is fully exploiting all the marketing channels, research and cost the most appropriate marking media. Across the UK and consider whether we should explore opportunities across English speaking countries.
Co-ordinate telephone, teams and face to face interviews and attending them as and when required.
Assist with the preparation and running of open days/job fayres for SW and OT posts. This may include evenings or weekend when potential staff are available.
Attend careers and jobs fairs
Ensure that all recruitment trackers are updated daily and that iTrent forms are submitted timely

Job Purpose

Principal Accountabilities
- To provide a full reception (first point of call) service to internal and external customers and clients which will involve receiving, recording, assessing, resolving or actioning enquiries, requests for service and complaints either electronically, by telephone, by post or in person. The postholder must ensure that these are processed at the first point of contact wherever possible and within Corporate Service Standards, before escalating the enquiry for a response.
- To provide general administrative duties e.g. process applications and registrations, authorisation of grant/other payments, submitting translations, the receiving and distributing of incoming and outgoing post daily and deliveries in line with FCC policies and procedures of GDPR and Health Safety.
- To provide timely and accurate data inputting into corporate information systems and producing reports in line with schedules, requests and deadlines.

- To keep policy and procedure manuals up to date and circulate updates to relevant people as and when necessary.
- To ensure that the centre facilities and resources are used appropriately. To complete and record centre safety logs for maintenance checks, undertaking contractor call outs and to be responsible for removing/reporting/escalating any risks in relation to Health and Safety on a daily basis. To support the maintenance of a central record for the Centre Management.
- To monitor the car parking facility at Westwood Centre to ensure the users are parking within guidelines for safety and permitted use.
