Main Purpose of Post/Job Summary
Act as part of a multidisciplinary IT Department contributing to the management and delivery of IT services, with a focus on coordination and administration, and support for local service request fulfilment.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide operational and administrative support across the range of IT Department functions:
a. Assist the IT Manager in the development of IT service delivery processes, including the development of IT related standard operating procedures and policies to enable effective operational management of the IT Department
b. Contribute to the coordination and administration of IT Department operational processes (e.g. team documentation, finance, risk management, procurement etc.) - Respond to and deal with service fulfilment requests, in accordance with agreed procedures, including local user, service, equipment and site supports.
- To provide advice and assistance to Elected Members, staff and associated groups on all IT matters that contribute to the efficient running of the service.

- This is an essential OT role within Adult Social Care, where you will be responsible for carrying out OT assessments needs and providing advice and guidance to our service users. You will liaise and work closely with contacts from different sectors, health and the voluntary sector, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, ensuring that communication is effective, and that knowledge and best practice are shared.
- You will review and monitor care plans and the quality of service provision and respond to changes need. This includes, develop, and evaluate reablement programs as part of care packages ensuring that programs to support independence are implemented.
- You will be responsible for managing your own caseloads or specific projects to ensure specialist inputs are obtained and effective outcomes achieved.

Full clean driver’s licence and access to a car (or able to use another appropriate means of travel) to travel to a range of locations including home visits.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- You will hold or be working towards a professional qualification e.g. degree, NVQ 4 or equivalent
- You will have relevant experience of working in similar service areas.
- You will demonstrate knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, processes and procedures.
- If relevant: you will have a proven ability to supervise and allocate work to others, monitoring their performance and taking corrective action.

Under the direction of the Performance and Information Manager you work across the Council’s Adult and Children’s social care and Education teams to improve the reporting and information recording capabilities of the Department.
You will be working closely with Performance Managers and Operational colleagues to develop reports in line with operational and strategic requirements, further strengthening our Performance Management Framework.
Using your systems and technical knowledge you will produce and develop reports via our SQL and PowerBI systems, in order to satisfy existing and evolving requirements of the operations teams, enhancing our reporting suite to support service delivery and statutory functions.
By identifying best practice, product options, enhancements and internal practice improvements, you will recognise, promote and support the implementation of enhancements across our main Social Care and Education systems.
The implementation of system enhancements, in collaboration with senior operations staff, service users and ITD will not only ensure functionality is adequately utilised but also further enhance our reporting abilities.
The position will involve: -

Job Summary:

Service Specific Accountabilities:

MAIN PURPOSE:
