Responsibilities

  1. Operate the automated payment processes across the accounts payable function.
  2. Process invoice payment requests and GRNs for all invoices which require manual
    payment to agreed timescales.
  3. Ensure that all invoices are paid against correct purchase orders, which have been
    created and approved.
  4. Process bulk uploads of invoice payments as required using appropriate software.
  5. Identify and prevent duplicate payments and undertake due diligence of payments made,
    ensuring that the purchase to pay process is enforced.
  6. Work with Council departments to communicate the correct accounts payable processes
    and procedures.
  7. Process direct bank payments, cheque receipting and VAT categorisation.

This post is in the Mental Health Reablement Team, which is a short-term service that aims to prevent and reduce social care needs whilst promoting independence and recovery within the community. The aim is that, through a targeted, brief intervention, service users can enhance their wellbeing and independence and avoid longer-term social care support. The team is comprised of social workers, occupational therapists and assistant practitioners. Service users will have the appearance of needs under the Care Act 2014 and practitioners will tailor interventions to specific outcomes identified alongside service users and, if appropriate, other professionals or family members.

The occupational therapist role within Mental Health Reablement Team has two main functions. Alongside other members of the team, they will hold a caseload and deliver Reablement interventions, working creatively to prevent and/or reduce needs resulting from mental ill health. The occupational therapist will also provide support to other members of the team through specialist OT assessment, and may prescribe equipment when appropriate.

The post holder will be expected to expand their specialist knowledge and skill relating to:
• Assessment and Support Planning
• Specialist OT assessment via the Model of Human Occupation
• Safeguarding / Risk Assessments
• Resources and procedures
• Identification of continuing healthcare and social care needs
• Identification of mental capacity, Safeguarding, DoLS and complex family issues
• Identification of motivation to change
Knowledge, including educational qualifications:

  1. HCPC registered Occupational Therapist with at least one recognised OT qualification
  2. Knowledge of current and proposed legislation, policy and guidance in relation to community care in general, in particular relating to people with mental health needs
  3. Knowledge of OT theory, specialist assessments and interventions

Knowledge and understanding of Reablement, wellbeing principles, strengths based and rehabilitative practice

We require a qualified and experienced Approved Mental Health Professional who can provide recent examples and references within the last five years of Mental Health Act assessments. We expect this individual to be able to respond to any Mental Health Act assessments of Denbighshire citizens both in community and hospital settings. As the frequency of MH Act assessments is difficult to predict the individual will be provided with a brief of work including duty and S117 reviews. We are looking for someone who can work on their own initiative and will provide regular updates on their activities and progress within a busy team. This post is temporary for initially one month to cover annual leave and sickness. This is a 37 hour post, however we will pay any additional hours after 17:00 for assessments which have overrun at the same rate.

We are looking to recruit a dynamic officer to join to the Temporary Accommodation Reduction Project, which sits within the Housing Partnership and Service Improvement Team. As a Tenancy Management and Resettlement Officer you will report directly to the Temporary Accommodation Reduction Project Manager and will assist in the delivery of change projects and new ways of working.
You will be an officer with experience of assessing applicants to end or discharge the main housing duty, with an extensive knowledge of the Homelessness Reduction Act, Part VII Housing Act and relevant legislation, guidance and case law relating to homelessness and temporary accommodation. You will also be experienced with completing affordability and suitability assessments for applicants. You will have excellent communication skills and substantial experience in working within a high-pressure environment. You will understand the need to make thorough decisions within tight timescales and be able to effectively manage your workload.
The main focus of your role is to support residents in temporary accommodation to resettle into alternative accommodation, and to complete discharges of duty in specific cases. The successful candidate will be able to make comprehensive assessments and legal decisions which can withstand legal scrutiny and uphold at the review stage or court. You will be experienced in completing s.188 and s.193 discharge of duties.
You will also be required to conduct various ad hoc duties to assist with the delivery of the Temporary Accommodation Reduction Project this may include but are not limited to supporting the Project Manager by undertaking specific project related activities as well as collating and monitoring data, conducting reports or detailed documents as required.

Contract
This is a fixed term post for 12 months, with the potential for extension upon review

Whilst the service is primarily based in Laurence House, we operate a hybrid approach whereby you will be required to work both in the office and from home as determined by service requirements

Key Duties/Areas of Responsibility
