Principle accountabilities

1. Under the direction of the Human Resources Business Partner, provide a human

resources service to an allocation of around 30 schools within an agreed service level

agreement on a traded basis. Provide advice and guidance as needed to all schools that

trade with the service.

2. Plan the work for your allocated schools with the Human Resources Business Partner to

ensure that quality standards and deadlines are met, priorities are identified and

delivered to deadline and, where problems or concerns arise, they are resolved quickly

and effectively with the schools concerned.

3. Under the direction of the Human Resources Business Partner, provide high quality,

professional human resources advice, guidance and support to schools on the full range

of human resources issues including: organisational change, redundancy, redeployment,

case management, employment tribunals, industrial action, disciplinary, grievance,

performance, absence management, ill health retirement, recruitment, pay and terms

and conditions of employment.

4. Manage a personal allocation of employee relations case work. Influence, persuade,

coach and support school leaders to take appropriate action and manage risks in

accordance with agreed policies and procedures. Refer more complex cases to the

Human Resources Business Partner.

5. In collaboration with other team members, review and update audit documentation to

evaluate school compliance with human resources legislation and recommended

policies and procedures, undertake audits and report on findings on an annual basis.

6. Under the direction of the Head of Schools Human Resources, develop and undertake an

annual customer satisfaction survey and analyse and report on the findings.

7. Collate and record information in response to freedom of information requests and

other ad-hoc reporting on behalf of the Head of Schools Human Resources.

8. Support the Human Resources Business Partner to deliver change programmes in

schools including: collating contractual information, undertaking job evaluation,

calculating redundancy severance for affected staff, supporting redeployment,

producing and disseminating documents, collating and checking information required

for TUPE transfers, and undertaking job evaluation.

9. Arrange meetings on behalf of the Head of Schools Human Resources and Business

Partners, co-ordinating dates and attendance and taking notes as required.

10. Develop effective working relationships with constituent trade unions including:

supporting collective and local consultation and working in partnership to promote fair

and appropriate outcomes to individual human resources cases.

Southwark Adult Social Care is recruiting a locum Deputy Team Manager to start as soon as possible to join the Transfer of Care Team based at Jenni Lee House, near the Kings College Hospital site at Denmark Hill, London. The Deputy Team Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operational oversight of social workers and their work products. This includes providing social work practice guidance and management oversight relating to case progression and management of - often complex -  discharges, complaints and disputes, safeguarding and mental capacity. The post holder will take an active part in networking with NHS trust colleagues and form part of the management team overseeing team performance and attending regular discharge review meetings, updating the acute trust about discharge plans and responding to system escalations as pressures on acute trusts increase. A proven track-record of multidisciplinary working/close partnership working with other local authority colleagues/GPs/NHS and a sound understanding of ordinary residence and current out-of-hospital pathways is essential for this role. Good working knowledge of the Continuing Healthcare process and the relevant framework is essential for this role. 

The post holder will be required to supervise 4-5 qualified social workers. 

NOTE: This role requires the Deputy Team Manager to be in the office at Jenni Lee House with frontline colleagues on average 4 days per week. This role cannot be carried out working from home, apart from scope of approximately 1 day/week working from home for more administrative parts of the role

Knowledge, including educational qualifications:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic individual who would like to join us as a Senior Finance Technician on a one- year fixed term contract within our Technical Team, which is part of Lincolnshire County Council's Financial Services Team. This role may lead to a permanent role for the right person.

We are looking for someone who is preferably AAT qualified, has a good understanding of financial and accounting processes, how these are represented in financial IT systems, and has experience of working with a major ERP system.

The role sits within a small Systems Governance team and will focus on supporting the Finance Team Manager to identify improvements and changes to all Council IT systems which interact with the Council’s finance function, to ensure that these systems are maintained and developed to work effectively and within a sound financial governance framework. This is not a systems development role per se, but instead will require working with the Council’s Corporate Systems team as well as external systems suppliers who have responsibility for systems development.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES, TASKS & DUTIES

The specific accountabilities of this role will be flexible and will change to meet

the needs of the organisation as required but will include (or be equivalent in

nature to) those listed below:

i To assist in ensuring that there is effective strategic financial planning

and financial management in relation to all revenue and capital budgets.

To assist in the coordination and delivery of financial planning for all

About the job As a Social Worker within a dedicated reviewing team, your role will involve working with adults with lifelong disabilities, including physical and learning disability and autism. You will be responsible for supporting the local authority deliver its Adult Social Care Strategy by undertaking quality, strengths-based Care Act Reviews. You will be required to work at pace, and to consider a whole person approach to reviews, not just the services a person receives, but one that recognises peoples’ strengths, taking into account the wider support network and assets. Workers will be encouraged to explore creative approaches to managing personal budgets, that do not rely on funded services. Reviews will be targeted where the authority has determined the best opportunities lie to deliver alternative means of support and achieve savings. Reviews will need to be in person where required, although the authority is adopting new ways of working which means SWs will not be required to be on site every day. The team leader would be responsible for a team of staff and would report to the Registered Manager
