- Monitor learner progress and achievements including assignments and national tests/assessments in accordance with awarding body requirements and offer learners advice/information about the next steps.
- Evaluate learning programmes and produce termly reports on the strengths and weaknesses of provision.
- Deliver sessions with enthusiasm and sound, up to date knowledge.
- Be aware of the needs of learners and respond accordingly within the teaching environment, for example, provision of specialist resources and implementation of the Equality Act 2010.
- Work in partnership with other tutors in Halton, for example, within Children’s Centres, Early Years, Further Education, Community and Voluntary Sector, local companies, etc.
- Attend staff training and development, as appropriate and to keep up to date with pre-16 and post-16 teaching methods.
- Work as a team player within the Employment, Learning and Skills Team.
- Work with key partners within the borough to develop new programmes to meet the needs of adults eg Job Centres, Halton People into Jobs, local learning providers, employers, etc.
- Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time, which are commensurate with the grade of the job.

Key Duties
Responsible for assessing clients with disabilities and learning difficulty/other individual's needs to enable them to achieve outcomes in their chosen internship using established assessment systems. Quickly gain a good understanding of the skills and abilities of each individual and the type of vacancies they are best suited to.
Responsible for matching employment and educational opportunities with people's requirements and use job matching skills to determine suitable employment opportunities, including sector based/bespoke opportunities. To perform specific work environment analysis, job analysis, task analysis and job matching activities. Assist with the induction and development of the intern and supervise them on a day to day basis as required.
To work with the Employment Liaison Officers to develop and maintain effective working relationships with local employers in order to engage and secure sufficient and realistic employment opportunities for the interns. To undertake effective job matching and preparing individuals for interview or assessment, including one-to-one and group sessions such as pre-screening sessions with interns. To provide travel training where appropriate.
To acquire or complete premises and work task risk assessments where appropriate. To identify reasonable adjustments and assistive technology if required. To support individuals in obtaining resources necessary to succeed in employment.

The post holder will carry out arboricultural management maintenance operations as specified in the Arboricultural Service Specification; maintaining Lambeth’s urban tree stock; carrying out specified arboricultural operations on non-Council owned sites where instructed; ensuring all works are completed to a high standard, on time, and in a safe manner according to the appropriate British Standards, legislation and industry guidance.
The role requires a good depth of experience in carrying out arboricultural duties. The post holder will take the lead role in supervising the work of a dedicated small team carrying out arboricultural operations across a range of sites. Principal duties will be that of lead climber with responsibility for carrying out all aerial operations whilst ensuring that all aspects of the arboricultural maintenance specification and work objectives are met.
Be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation and operation of vehicles and equipment to ensure that financial costs and environmental burdens are minimised by themselves and their teams.
Advise the public and support other stakeholders in respect to arboricultural objectives, resolving day to day issues creatively and sensitively and acting as a good ambassador of the Council at all times.
Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction with the service.

Child Protection Chair, Independent Reviewing and Quality Assurance duties and responsibilities
About the role
The core activities of the Conference Chair, Independent Reviewing Officer or Local Authority Designated Officer will be to either:
⦁ Chair complex multi-agency and mulit-disciplinary child protection conferences, making decisions about the likelihood of significant harm and ensuring the conference formulates a safe and suitable plan
⦁ Chair review meetings for looked after children, ensuring there is an effective care plan which fully reflects the child’s needs with actions that are consistent with the local authorities legal responsibilities toward the child.
⦁ Offer professional consultation and advice, chair and coordinate complex meetings, and manage allegations against people who work with children in paid employment or in voluntary work.

Qualifications
⦁ Educated to a degree level with a relevant professional qualification in social work.
⦁ Active Social Work England registration and proven evidence of continuing professional development.
Skills and experience
⦁ Experience of management within children’s social care.
⦁ Experience of chairing complex multi agency and multi-professional meetings.
⦁ Experience of building strong partnerships, maintaining relationships and co-producing solutions to challenges across a diverse set of stakeholders, including children, young people and their families. Advocating the voices of those we are working with.
⦁ Experience of constructively challenging casework and resolving issues using effective dispute resolution processes.
⦁ Proven ability to effectively use data, intelligence and evidence to create meaningful insight and to inform own decision making.
⦁ Experience of using quality assurance frameworks and systems to monitor and review the effectiveness of services.
⦁ Experience of keeping and maintaining records (in accordance with local policy) and producing accurate reports, presentations, written updates to a range of stakeholders (which may include families, children or young people).
