The post holder will provide support to the Head of Integrated Commissioning and the Finance Manager and will be a key member of the Public Health team. They will provide a general administration and business function as well as supporting on project delivery. The post holder will provide financial support and will need to possess excellent IT skills to support a variety of computerised systems.
The role will give the post holder an opportunity to understand the Public Health commissioning function and also work with colleagues from the wider Council as well as external agencies.

» Responsible for all invoice checking and payment processing.
» Raising invoices to request payments from other services.

» Fulfilling budget monitoring requests from service leads, such as remaining budgets or expenditure against certain financial codes for the year so far.
» Maintaining a log of relevant invoice amounts.
» Primary conduit between Public Health and service providers. This includes GPs & pharmacies, commissioned services and other local authorities.
It is envisaged the agency staff will cover the post until we recruit permanently.

A senior social worker within dedicated court team. They will need to be able to manage cases within court proceedings from initial hearing to final and then to adoption if needed. They will need to produce good standard of report writing and be able to give evidence in court. They will need experience of managing looked after children and children with CP plans. They will need experience of undertaking viability assessment and parenting assessments. This team only takes on cases within care proceedings so the social work MUST LIKE DOING COURT WORK. You will only hold cases within care proceedings (and a few supervision orders) and case going to adoption.
We have a protected cases load in view of the demand of court work.
The candidate must have court experience, knowledge and be able to write court reports, undertake parenting assessment and work with children placed with their parents, other family members or in our care.
The Court Social Worker will be based at home however will need to visit children, attend the office to undertake duty (approx. once every two weeks) and any face to face meeting.
They will receive good management support and have the opportunity to develop skills in undertaking viability assessments and parenting assessments.

Locality teams generally work to a geographical area of the Local Authority
As a children’s social worker you will have a caseload of 20 children who are either subject to CP or CIN planning with the expectation that you will work with the child, their family and the professional network in the execution of plans to ensure the child’s safety and needs are met and maintained.

To work with Children Looked After in a long term team, post Final Hearing. Supporting children and young people in foster care, residential care or semi independence. Wet Trades Supervisor required ASAP.
To assist the Repairs Manager in the general day to day operational activities of the trade team which you are assigned to.
This would include assisting in the management, direction and planning of the trade team work portfolio, in close cooperation with the Repairs Manager and Planner.
This management team are responsible for managing the trade team workforce on a daily basis, with particular regard to service delivery, productivity, quality control, customer satisfaction, health and safety, cost control, attendance and general management responsibilities.
Providing an effective repairs and maintenance service for the Department, and an effective and customer focused service to residents and members of the public, in accordance with Health & Safety regulations and specialised legislation
KNOWLEDGE:
- An understanding of the provision of a customer orientated repairs and maintenance service.
- Thorough knowledge of Health & Safety at work legislation.
- Knowledge of, and ability to use management/supervisory techniques, concepts and practices.
- Understanding of and the ability to use information technology as applicable to the business.
- An extensive understanding of issues relating to social housing.
- Ability to manage information, statistics and finance data, and undertake effective analysis.
- Sound knowledge of bonus schemes and performance indicators.
EXPERIENCE:
- A sound building construction/repairs background is essential, particularly within a social housing environment.
- Significant supervisory experience of a team of staff/operatives. Also demonstrating an ability to lead, manage, develop and motivate staff and operatives
- Ability to develop organisational structures to provide high quality customer focused services.
- Management of resources, vehicles, plant and materials including budget monitoring.
- Involvement with service users in service monitoring and development.
- Monitoring and operating productivity based Incentive Schemes.
- Quality and performance management.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- The ability to manage and motivate a trade team within RMS to ensure the profitability of the business and the achievement of the quality, performance and customer satisfaction targets.
- The ability to develop, manage and maintain effective relationships with the trade team and other stakeholders.
- An ability to diagnose, specify and instruct solutions to complex repair requests, ensuring residents are kept fully informed throughout the process.
- Ability to produce and monitor performance against an agreed plan and targets.
- Ability to utilise trade resources efficiently.
- Ability to implement quality management systems.
- Good communication skills. Literacy and numeracy skills sufficient to carry out the duties of the post.
- Able to manage, understand and monitor productivity based incentive schemes.
- A flexible approach to working hours and ability to attend evening and weekend meetings where required
QUALIFICATIONS:
SMSTS or similar would be desirable.
