The Placement Management Unit (PMU) will be the one stop shop for placements and accommodation for looked after children, care leavers and young people supported under section 17 of the Children Act. The PMU will be a business unit that will help improve placement standards and stability, as well as reduce expenditure through better and consistent management of contracts and negotiating competitive and consistent prices.
The unit will be responsible for the accreditation of new suppliers and for the ongoing quality assurance and management of providers under a variety of different framework agreements and spot purchasing arrangements.
The unit will include a team of staff who will deliver accounts payable and receivable services and who will carry out financial assessments to support post permanency arrangements.
The post holder will work closely with Social Work Units, in-house foster carers and external providers to identify quality placements and accommodation for looked after children, care leavers and other young people in need of support and accommodation. The post holder will also work with young people to ensure they are claiming their universal credits/housing benefit.
This post is required to support in increasing the number of young people claiming universal credit / housing benefits that are living in semi independent or foster placements to reduce the financial impact on the LA who is responsible for covering these costs if the young person is not claiming.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
Nations Recruitment is looking for refuse worker for one of its clients.
You will need to communicate confidently with your team and together provide a safe and efficient operations day.
This work is not generally heavy, but you will need to be physically fit and be able to work outdoors.
You need to be available from Monday to Saturday, 6am – 5pm.
Pay Rate
PAYE
Mon- Fri – £8.72/hr
Saturday – £13.08/hr
O/T 1 – £13.08/hr
O/T 2 – £17.44/hr

PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Homeshare Daycare Scheme provides respite to carers by recruiting volunteers who open their homes to support the cared for person. The Administrator undertakes specified Administrative tasks within the Homeshare Daycare Scheme and full responsibility for the administrative tasks as designated by the senior managers in Provided Services.
The post holder will carry out comprehensive office management and administrative duties to support the provision of services to people with complex needs. The post holder will be expected to have a clear understanding of social care services and manage relationships with internal and external colleagues appropriately. The post holder will engage with the service users, carers volunteers as well as professionals respecting the service users’ dignity, privacy and right to choice.
KNOWLEDGE:
Legislation
Knowledge and understanding of the health and safety legislation as it pertains to an office environment and of the data protection Act 2018
Knowledge of the Health and Safety at work Act 1974
Knowledge of the Care Act 2014
EXPERIENCE:
Experience of managing own work load and relationships with a wide variety of professional and external agencies
Experience of work processing and financial software systems, experience of recording and analysing data
