The SPA Access Officer will be the access point for service users, other professionals and members of the

To provide and ensure confidentiality and sensitivity in respect of the work of the Mayor’s office at all times.
To raise Purchase Orders and make payments using the Council finance systems appropriately.

Much has changed in the care home market during Covid, and as finances are increasingly strained with a growing older adult population with complex health and care needs, the role of the commissioning department has never been so important.
This post would be suitable for someone who enjoys working directly with a range of different providers and is passionate about ensuring we have the right physical infrastructure and care market to support the large older adult population in Bromley. The post holder would be someone who is interested in innovation, looking to other areas for best practice on how we can continue to develop and deliver a thriving care home market that, wherever possible, promotes independence. They will enjoy working with a range of internal and external stakeholders able to ensure that everything we do is done with clients at the heart, challenging processes and systems that fit around public services rather then the journey of the client. The role of the commissioner is to lead, inspire and ensure we have a suitable local, affordable market that meets the needs of our local population.

The successful postholder will have experience working with care providers and or social landlords. Good verbal and written communication skills and confidence in working with data are a must.
KNOWLEDGE

  1. Strong understanding of project management development and delivery
  2. Knowledge of the range of issues pertaining to adult social care, supporting transition, public health, children’s social care and education services; and health and social care integration
  3. Understanding of the key issues facing local government including the pressures on health and social care
  4. Understanding of the principles of co-production and co-design of public services

EXPERIENCE

  1. Experience of managing change projects
  2. Substantive experience of leading commissioning projects through all stages of the commissioning cycle
  3. Experience of working with partners, providers and communities to co-design service delivery models
  4. Experience of working within adult social care, supporting transition, public health, children’s social care and education services; and health and social care integration with substantive experience in at least two of these areas
  5. Experience of working either within a CCG or working alongside CCG partners, ideally as part of developing health and social care integration

QUALIFICATIONS

⦁ Professional and/or management qualification; or relevant management experience at this level
⦁ Degree or relevant subject experience and/or evidence of equivalent knowledge

Purpose of the Role: Provide a professional, comprehensive cleaning service to the Client on site ensuring all facilities are maintained in a clean state ready for use.

To ensure and maintain high standards of personal hygiene, with particular to hands/fingernails, hair care and general appearance. For reasons of safety whilst working you must wear the allocated uniform, PPE (including Hi Vis), sturdy closed toed shoes (if not issued with safety shoes), and a minimum of jewellery (wedding ring and stud earrings only)
To ensure equipment and materials are used correctly, cleaned, and returned to storeroom at the end of each visit.
To ensure that electrical equipment and machinery is checked for safety prior to and after use and is returned clean and tidily to the allocated storage area.
To understand how to use the allocated chemicals according to the manufacturers/COSHH instructions.
To report any building faults or maintenance issues to the ATL/SSM.
To be responsible for your and others safety and to report any Health & Safety issues immediately to the ATL/SSM.
To drive safely to and from each site using the Council’s allocated vehicle.
To ensure that the vehicle is safety checked on the start and finish of each shift.
To carry out any additional and/or miscellaneous duties as requested by Management.
To attend and actively take part in Toolbox Talks and training session.
Report any absence from the company caused by illness or accident.
