Interprets the Council’s HR Policy & Procedures, ensure that they are well communicated and provide advice to stakeholders appropriate to the situation
Develops HR colleagues and Line Managers
Applies relevant and up to date UK employment law knowledge to Council activities
Ensures all required legal measures are taken across the people agenda
Facilitates potential conflict situations (in a legally compliant way)
Ability to run consultation meetings, including preparation of consultation business cases, and support Line Managers / leaders to do the same where appropriate
Designs and implements interventions to enhance open and constructive dialogue between employees and Line Managers
Provide specialist advice to those leading sensitive conflicts
Drafts HR Policies & Procedures and ensures they are clearly communicated and practiced consistently throughout the Council

The Specialist Resettlement Coordinator will provide specialist casework to single homeless applicants with complex housing and support needs, notably street homelessness single people

The Redbridge Child Protection and Assessment Team (R&A) Service are looking for experienced Senior Social Workers. The right candidate is required to have a minimum of three years relevant experience, preferably in R and A, but candidates with relevant Court experience will also be considered. The SSW will undertake Child and Family Assessments, S47 inquiries, write ICPC reports and initial court statements, viability assessments, age assessments and CIN plans.
Candidates will be on duty one week in six, candidates must come into the office for duty week and be on standby to support as and when required. Child Protection cases require face to face visits , the remaining cases are risk assessed adn RAG rated. There is some working from home and some office work required. The candidate must be willing to come in and perform front line duties.
This is not a step up opportunity and step ups will not be considered. Please do not submit candidates that require more hourly rate or are not interested in the vacancy.

Key Accountabilities
Lead a team of SEND Operations Co-ordinators and Assistants within Mid Essex, co-ordinating induction, training and development programmes and the allocation of work

Working collaboratively with partners in Health and Social Care to ensure their participation in the EHCP process and support direct individual work for the most complex situations.
Progressing and resolving complex situations around CYP including attendance at mediation and Way Forward meetings, with a particular emphasis on the needs of looked after children and children not accessing education.
Preparing and presenting casework for submission to decision making panels.

Educated to RQF level 4 or equivalent by experience.

Job Purpose

Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Educated to Stage 1 certificate level in Local Government Pensions Administration or equivalent by significant experience within the Police, Fire and Local Government Schemes.
You will be able to evidence your continuing professional development with knowledge in the relevant professional area and you will be expected to adhere to and complete the administration module of the CIPFA knowledge and skills framework.
You must be a good communicator with the ability to simplify regulations and legislation to our various stakeholders and be able to understand various financial calculations and pension procedures.
You will possess a variety of skills such as reliability and enthusiasm whilst remaining motivated and positive; all of which help deliver a quality service and promote a hard-working and professional environment.
Some knowledge and experience of using Universal Pension Management System (UPM) will be advantageous but is not essential however, experience and knowledge in Windows based programmes is desirable.
This position will initially, in line with current government guidance be based from home, with an expectation of being home based for the foreseeable future. However, if / when government guidelines change the role may then revert to being office based, whilst retaining some flexible working options.
